A: Hi yes, I leave the lid on as there is a vent that can be open or closed in it. It is 8.5 inches across and 4.5 deep.

A: Yes,i bought the other week,5,250g beef dripping makes it around half full,solid well made pan.

A: The Pan itself:-  Diameter = 8 1/2 inches (21.59 cm)  Exterior Depth (Rimto Base): = 4 1/2 inches (11.43 cm)The Basket:-      Diameter = 7 inches (17.78 cm)   Depth:  = 3 1/2 inches(8.89 cm)I can fry enough chips (average size frozen) for four.Have had this for quite some time and have found it much quicker and easierto clean than an electric fryer, needless to say you must be vigilant.Hope this helps.
