This is a slightly tricky one to rate, as you would only really know how waterproof these bags are in the event of a smashed bottle in one's luggage. However, I've used them several times now and all my bottles have arrived safe and sound, so perhaps that's all the proof I need. I think I'll deliberately smash a bottle in one at some point and report back on their leak-proof-ness. However, until then, I should say that they feel properly durable, and that they score heavily over at least some of the competition (Wine Skin) because they're reusable. If I'm honest, the Wine Skin feels as though it's likely to be a bit more water-proof than these Bottle Protectors - and I used Wine Skins for a while with great success - but it always broke my heart a little to have to cut them open and throw them away, consigning a hefty bit of plastic to land-fill. I feel much happier using these.

So I don't care for wine. I got this for my scotch. The size works well for an average scotch bottle and should work well for wine too. The padding is good and the fold up zip lock bottom os nice. I have used these a couple of times now between Scotland and the states. I'm quite pleased.

Used these to take a couple of bottles of wine long haul to Australia. I was a bit worried about breakages as we had soft sided bags rather suitcases. However, they did the job perfectly! No spillages, breakages or leaks.

Incorrect information. They say the inner bubble wrap sleeve is removable and replaceable. I tried removing mine. I gave up as I would've rip it all apart trying to remove the inner sleeve. It looks sturdy, but I don't like it when what they write about their product is not true.

Worked very well. Was nervous as no one wants to open their baggage to a leak and a disaster. I put my bottles in this packaging and wrapped it in some jumpers. Safe as houses. Not cheap but will cost you more if your bottles leak all over your baggage.

I bought these to take a few bottles of red to Japan. All 3 arrived safely, so no problems there at all. It was only when I went to re-pack one back into the protector (to move to a second hotel in Japan) that I noticed that the press-seal had come away from the side of the bag. Not too much of a problem as I had 2 other bags... unfortunately the same had happened to those as well, meaning the waterproof element of the bag was no longer "a thing". Luckily the wine survived the second trip. On return, I explained the problem to the seller, who replaced the broken bags. All in all, I'd say they could do with a bit more bubble-wrap inside, and take a LOT of care when opening the press-seal. I'll use them again next time.

Quite an average product. Bought this to transport my Lafite 1982 which is a present for my future father in law, in baggage from UK to China. The only good thing about this product is its waterproof and has Velcro. Other than that the inert packaging which consists of a very thin bubble wrapping is just mediocre. I actually bought extra bubble wrapping and wrapped around my bottle 3 times and insert it into this green outer packing. Hope this helps for those intending to buy this and put ur wine in baggage. And for final note, my wine bottle arrived safely with no leakage and breakage. Hooray:)
