Organic Positively Tea Company, Irish Breakfast Black Tea, Loose Leaf, 16 Ounce

I have been enjoying tea from the Organic Positively Tea Company for probably about two years now. I am sticking with this company for three reasons. First, I find their teas particularly strong and clear - never stale, never dull, never over dried. Second, the delivery has been 100% reliable. Third, the price is competitive: i never feel it’s overpriced or overhyped. In short, Organic Positively Tea Company gives me very good value for my shrinking dollar.

Go loose leaf, bags are full of garbage. This will get you a premium cup of tea, for a non-premium price. The Irish breakfast is full on flavor and you're sure to enjoy it at any time of the day.

We never thought anything could beat our beloved Barry's Gold, but wanted to try to find an organic substitute. Much to our delight, this is similar in flavor profile but even better! This just tastes fresher and a little cleaner somehow, but still with the basic taste we love for a good black, breakfast-style tea. We just put in a scant teaspoon per cup plus one for the pot, let it steep for 3 minutes, and it makes a good strong black tea. We both drink it with a little milk or cream, and my wife adds a touch of honey. Delicious! We are on our 3rd bag in probably 5 months so the bags last a long time. We still love it just as much for our afternoon pot of tea (or sometimes two pots!) as when we tried our first cup. We think the price is reasonable for the high quality, large quantity, and sturdy, easy to reseal packaging. Can't recommend the Irish Breakfast tea highly enough. We also have bought the Jasmine green tea from this company on amazon, and it is also delicious, when you want something lighter. If you love tea, this company is great!

I’ve started drinking loose-leaf tea almost exclusively, after purchasing some, and discovering how much better it tastes than teabags. However, it’s hard to find quality loose-leaf tea unless I go to a specialty shop, which isn’t always convenient. Enter the Amazon solution—ordering is almost too easy! I searched Amazon for loose-leaf tea, wanting to try something different, but sticking to black and unflavored. Organic, preferably. The Organic Positively Tea Company’s Irish Breakfast seemed like a tea that both my husband and I would enjoy. Although quality is most important to me in this instance, I feel like it’s a good value as well. We are so pleased with Organic Positively Tea Company’s Irish Breakfast! It’s a bold blend-and this tea is perfect to wake you up in the morning, give yourself a treat after dinner, or to share with company! I love it! And I will continue to purchase this tea. I strongly recommend Organic Positively Tea Company’s Irish Breakfast!

Irish Breakfast should be strong and malty. If you like brands like Barry's and McEntee's, you will be disappointed by this brand. Even if you double up and steep twice as long, it tastes bland. And yes of course I'm using boiling water.

I've recently stopped drinking coffee,and gone back to my love of tea. I've collected all my favorite afternoon and evening teas, but was still missing a good, strong, morning tea. Something to start my day right. I've already gone through two other Irish breakfast blends, and was left disappointed by both. Luckily, Positively showed up in my search through Amazon! It checks all the boxes: loose leaf, high grade, fragrant, abundant supply, organic, fair trade. It's a lovely black tea, full flavored, slightly floral, naturally sweet, beautiful deep red color when brewed; and no bitterness. I've steeped this for twenty minutes, just seeing how dark it could get, and it still had a wet mouth feel and was still smooth.

I like strong tea. I bought a large amount of it to wean myself off of store-bought teas, stuff with sugar in it; to go back to just strong tea and milk. Now, I'll leave the infuser/bag in for thirty minutes, an hour sometimes, between forgetting about it and just plain liking a strong tea. I've had two good-sized cups of this so far, and I'm going to have to get out my smaller mugs to get to the strength I like, because I can't fit any more tea in the infuser, and it's not really strong enough for my liking, even given 30+ minutes to steep. Now, I'll tell you that it does taste good, yes. I like what's there. It's nice and tannic, maybe malty? I think that's what that flavor is that I like so much in good black tea. I'm not getting any more sour notes like promised, however. I'm also not getting a very strong smell from the bag. We'll see how it goes with a stronger brew; either way, whether I buy more or not (right now, leaning towards 'not', but who knows!), it's tolerable for my transitioning away from sugary teas! I just wish it was stronger.
