Lucky Reptile HR-2 HatchRite, 2 Litre

Having used other product of similar design, this has to be one of the best, doesn't stick to the hatchings or clump together to much, has a great effect on the humidity and I could put it away and forget about it when I wasn't using it. Will deffinatly order again.

I bought this as a substrate for my horsfield tortoise eggs. I am totally new to incubation so emailed the company to ask if it would be suitable- they replied within a few hours and they said it would be ideal . It has a bit of a odour to it but I think this is the anti mould element and you don’t need to add any extra moisture to it . Put about 4 cm into a small plastic container , made little indents for my eggs to sit in and then put a top on the container with a little hole in it . Popped in the incubator and apart from an air exchange once a week .. 74 days later my tortoise hatched . Super exciting . Thank you HatchRite

Our Horsfield tortoise surprised us during lockdown by laying eggs. Did a quick online search and saw this was recommended as it doesn’t need wetting. We couldn’t get hold of a reptile incubator so had to put eggs in the airing cupboard (not recommended method) but this little miracle hatched yesterday. Very happy with this substrate. Stayed moist the whole 65 days.

Great for incubation for Ball Python eggs, has never let me down and no need to add any water, ready to go!

Excellent product, have used for hatching leopard, crested, gargoyle geckos all with success!!

Did not need to add moisture and was perfect for my Corn snake eggs

Haven't used it yet as waiting for snake to lay her eggs but seems like it will do the job.
