Replacement McAlpine Kitchen Sink Strainer Waste Plug MBSKTOP for Half Bowl Sink

I had real problems trying to track this plug down. Everything I looked at was too big. This is advertised as a plug for a 1/2 sink, but it fits my full sized one perfectly.Delighted!

So pleased I have finally found a half bowl plug for my kitchen sink. I have been trying for ages and finally, it’s perfect, fit, quality, and looks the same as the full sink plug. So pleased Thankyou

This was the only one available in this size. It was rather expensive when compared to the 7.3 ones. Having said that it is literally a tad too small but it works fine. It is not as form fitting as my original one. It is a sturdy piece and hopefully will last as long as my previous one which came with the original sink and that’s 17 years now.

I am glad it arrived quickly and it is a perfect fit for my Rangemaster Belfast sink. It does feel good quality as well and time will tell. Hopefully it will last long too.

I was satisfied that this arrived very quickly and it was an exact fit for my 1/2 bowl in my Rangemaster 1 and 1/2 bowl ceramic sink, it was a perfect replacement and of equal quality. It is expensive compared to the larger sink basket but it worked well so I don't mind, I expect it will last another 10 years or so before needing a replacement again.

This sadly did not help the water leaking out of the one and a half bowl ceramic sink.To be fair I think it may be the fault of the sink maker, as the original plug leaked also. But the fittings seem standard, and this plug was no better. So I do not know what the answer is to this leaking.
