You get what you pay for!
I have added an extra star to my origianal review as the company has good customer service, and helped me quicky.I have mixed feelings about this purchase, it was a big step up from my previous £20 tripod, and served me kind of well for a short time. If what you are looking for Is a first basic tripod to see how much use you will get from such a contraption, I would say go for it. With a crop sensor DSLR like a canon EOS 700 with a kit lens or small prime it would be an adequate match and a good first step for a budding landscape, portrait photographer. unfortunately for me I out grew it very quickly. when using it with my Canon 6d and the 24-105mm F4 lens, it was pretty unstable at the best of times, and a nonstarter if you wanted to shoot with the camera tilted to portrait, the screw on the plate didn’t grip tight enough and it could not support the weight of the gear. I now have a nice £150 Manfrotto which in all honesty I wish I had taken the plunge and bought straight away, instead of taking two cheap steps and learning the hard way. So in summary, you get what you pay for, It’s certainly not a piece of junk, and for some it will offer a good starting point, but if you feel like you really want to use a tripod a lot, and will be investing in lenses and other kit, miss this step and spend a bit more on something better.

Great tripod, feels pro-grade.
The ZOMEi Q555 is a fantastic tripod. It feels like you're using a pro-grade tripod. The swivel head is very, very smooth and is excellent for video without having to spend a couple hundred on a tripod head.Who ever designed the legs needs a medal, it's an excellent design and they work brilliantly. The knobs allow for smooth use of the ball head and the addition of the precise knob is great, you're easily able to find your working point.Overall, I'd recommend this over the Z666 and others which don't utilize a swivel head and ball head.

biscuit loose
i ordered this tripod back on the 23rd of October and ive used it quite a lot since but have noticed that the biscuit (where you mount the camera ) depending on how heavy the camera you use is the biscuit will slightly be at a tilt and may sometimes come out if you use a heavy camera meaning your shots will always be at a slight angle and there is no way of adjusting that with the camera it self .

well made tripod looking forward to using it
The tripod arrived today .well packed and boxed.after removing from the outside box with the protective insulation. I noticed the tripod box open .I removed tripod from box and examined it.it seemed ok I read the instructions and placed a Nikon Camera D3200 on it with flashgun.all parts seem fine and moved easy with camera on it.the tripod seems flexible and also firm once camera on it.after reading other reports and finding the box open I was wondering if it was ok .it seems to be well made and I am looking forward to using it outside in the future.I gave it 5 stars as to me even thou the box was open the tripod was in a clear plastic bag and it also had instructions too.over all a reasonable light weight but sturdy tripod

Excellent little tripod
Excellent little tripod. This tripod is light and easy to carry. The side effect of this of course is that you might have issues with wind and long exposures when using a heavier DSLR. I have not experienced something like this with my D5600 as of yet.It is definitely worth the price.

Zomei Tripod
Good tripod, easy to use and light. Being light it is NOT a 'professional' tripod - lightness and professional are contradictory in this context, but it is a useful addition to a photographic outfit for roving field use.

Average tripod, but not suitable for long exposure shots.
Got this tripod 2 months back and managed to use it around 5 times before the handle bit broke. My camera is a small Sony A6000 with a not too heavy 18-105mm lens but when I was taking long exposure shots the images turned out useless because the camera was tilting down slowly. When I wanted to tighten it more, the screwy part simply gave up and broke.I would say the legs seems pretty decent quality but the everything else is very plasticky, cheap.Learned my lesson and got a full aluminium tripod from a well known brand instead.*Update: Customer service of ZOMEi was very helpful and sent a replacement tripod, +1star for that.

Great little tripod
Bought this to replace an old tripod that had become unstable and therefore unreliable.I debated whether to buy the more expensive version but, as I will be using this manly away from home, I decided to go with the smaller, more portable model.I have only had this tripod for a short time but I am very impressed with the combination of a chunky ruggedness and light weight. My camera, a Sony A6000, fits comfortably on it with a long lens and a heavy flash.I was very peased to receive a follow up email from Yesart, the distributors. They offered some practical advice. I find this reassuring.
