Exo Terra Night Heat Lamp 25 W

Provides proper heat! I’m getting around 26 degrees on average from this bulb in the day time ( I’m waiting for my daytime bulb to arrive dw) and night time around 23/24 on cold nights. Some nights the bulb is too strong so I turn it off for a period before I turn it back on, depending on the temperature. I’ve ordered the day time bulb to compliment this one. I must say this bulb is money well spent.

The bulb arrived well packaged I have used this type of bulb for a long time it help with the temperature in my enclosure during the night along with the heat mat it gives off a nice glow without disturbing my gecko, I have never had any problems with these bulbs and they have lasted a long time.

I bought this heat lamp as a back up over winter in case our gecko's existing heat lamp expired. I believed it to be identical to the previous one that our gecko tank came with and so expected that it too would last at least a year of use as the previous one had at that point.... well the old lamp held on until March this year when I finally had to replace it with the new one... it has lasted about three weeks and to my horror has stopped working (I have tested it in other working light fixtures). It is kept in a fixed cover over the tank and is never touched but for the switch at the side to turn it on. Unfortunately because I purchased it in january and stored it till march the return window had closed. Very distressed to have the heat lamp expire during a cold snap and with no back up with it having happened so quickly after replacement. I will have to leave the house heating turned up overnight in the living room to ensure our gecko keeps warm enough, which is darned expensive right now! Seriously disappointed with the longevity and performance of this bulb.

Bulb produces a nice blue/purple light that isn't excessivly bright but is nice for night. It produces enough heat in late spring to mid autumn to keep the cool side of my kingsnake's viv at a good temperature. In cold winters & poorly insulated accomodation you need more than this.Overall, pretty good product. Occasionally smells a bit when lit if not screwed in perfectly, so be careful with that.

Viv bulb for crested Geko, works great and super pleased at price and delivery time. Recommend to all.
