Absolutely wonderful!
I have been looking at these for a while but always thought that I can use a brush instead. I am so glad I bought these as they are far superior and not as messy as brushes. Working with inktense and outher water soluble mediums they are worth their weight in gold. There are 3 different brush types; a flat chisel one and both a fine and medium normal brush. They have the brush pen number on the barrel of the pen so that you can see at a glance which one you are picking up. They also have a pen lid with square sides so that the water brush pen stays where put and doesn't roll away if knocked.I don't know if it's just the ones I received but I have found them difficult to fill. The narrow opening becomes blocked on filling with a water bubble. To combat this I have used a drinking straw of which I cut a slit of about an inch up the side of the bottom of the straw, this enables the straw to become a little narrower to fit into the pen barrel to fill it with water. To fill it I got a glass of water, sucked some of this into the straw and using my finger on the top of the straw I could then transfer the straw full of water to the barrel of the pen and on letting go of the suction it filled the barrel with water. I had to repeat this a few times until it was full. On using the water brush however it takes a long time to use that amount of water.Despite the filling problem, which I solved, I love these water brushes.

Derwent water colour brushes.
These water colour brushes feel comfortable in your hand. I would imagine they are good for arthritic hands as they are so light in weight.Easy to fill with water and are ideal if you are painting at the beach or anywhere where you can't get to a water tap.You just fill with water and make sure the cap is on properly. The price is about what I would expect to pay.

Portable and easy to use
Portable and easy to use.I use with waterpencils and colours when in the field. Gunna be taking them with me to India as they do not leak compared to other makes Ive owned.(Edit now I have used them a bit more)Big square brush: Lovely to use and does not leak at all unless I squeeze. Its a nice portable size for washes in my small Moleskine and use for some blocky plant backgrounds.Medium: I use this one the most its almost like using a traditional brush as you forget its filled with water until you squeeze it. It holds watercolour very well considering its only synth and highly portable.Small: Not impressed with this one. When doing very fine lines big balls of water will randomly fall out. In the end I took all the water out and used it like a traditional brush, the very tip does not give you as much control but once used to it its livable.Overall these brushes do not replace the traditional ones but are very good for when you are out and about as they fit in bags quite well.

Nice brushes
This is a nice set of brushes I bought through amazon warehouse deals, I bought them before buying the more expensive versions by Derwent. They are great quality, one leaks a little but this isn't too much of an issue.Recommended.

Makes life easier
These are for artists who paint on the go. The convenience is amazing- you don't need a water pot to wash out the pens- they do it via a little squeeze of the plastic. My only concern (hence four stars) is that sometimes water leaks out of the sides in one of the pens. This isn't a reason not to buy them though!
