It really is a lovely soft foam delivered simply by depressing the top. It's a bit like the foam off the top of a bowl of hot water freshly poured onto a good quality dish washing liquid. A lovely soft foam, kind to the eyes and consisting only of pure soap and pure air and pure water. I bought it for cleaning the products of blepharitis from my eyes as it has had excellent reviews. Unfortunately for some reason the promised "scrub" effect was omitted from my product. Without the scrub it had no effect on the crusty golden products of blepharitis which appear under the eyelids in the mornings and are hard to shift and I understand better why that might be after searching Crystaloptometry website. Meaning, I barely get one every few days and when I am rubbing with it my eyeladhes I may get one or two but really it's better like that than in my eyes.On the other hand, it does sting my eyes. Now, my eyes are too sensitive to keep open even with my own tears, but it is possible to find products that are not creating any reaction and this is not one of them. I can also still see the deposits at the roots of my eyelashes so to be honest with you I have no idea on how effective it is. I don't rinse it off after using it.It does make your eyes feel clean (although in my case that also means dry since my eyes are super dry by themselves).My biggest problem is the stinging of the eyes.
