Best clean protein powder!
Love pink sun whey. No sweeteners and high quality grass-fed whey! The only whey protein powder I can digest..

Excellent quality
The best quality protein powder I can find. Grass fed, organic is essential if you care about your health and want to maximise nutrient value, and if you compare to other brands the protein quantity is higher anyway. Unlike other protein powders I can have more than 1 scoop a day of this without creating an upset stomach. I've only tried the unflavoured variety which I mix into smoothies. It has a nice consistency and I don't find it to be lumpy. Love the convenience of being able to order from Amazon.

Milky & palatable & fantastic to know there are no nasties in it
I was fed up with the artificiality of the whey protein I was consuming, as well as being aware that as it was produced from grain instead of grass, the omega balance was likely not doing me any favours, not to mention any pesticide/herbicide/GM/rBGH etc.TBH, I'd not realised that organic whey was even available, although I've been drinking the milk for years. So, I read the reviews & examined the nutritional breakdown of both the above products & still couldn't decide which to go for. At the time of purchase, this one (Pink Sun) was 21 quid for 420g in slight contrast to the more expensive German-cow version at 22 pounds for 400g.Thus - given they're both ridiculously expensive when compared to the non-organic, grain-fed norm - I decided to buy both & do a side-by-side comparison test.A little bit of background about me so you can put it in context: I've been training seriously (cardio & with weights) for a little over a year. I've lost significant body-fat over this period & equally, gained very obvious muscle; I'm not yet where I want to be but progress is significant. I generally eat 5 or 6 times a day & drink a protein shake after each work-out as well as sprinkling PP (protein powder) on my twice-morning oatmeal.I disregarded the concept of eating a relatively high protein diet for a couple of months over the last year, but having made only slight gains in muscle during this time, I learnt the hard way that a balanced diet with sufficient protein is essential for energy, muscle recovery & growth (hence the inclusion of PP in my diet).I'm not an obsessive calorie or carb-counting type, but am aware of what goes in - both in the form of additives (intentional or otherwise) that are often added to food products as well as the protein/carb/fat balance. Generally, my food is unprocessed to maximise the thermic effect as well as the available nutrition.Anyway - that's enough about me - these are my non-scientific findings:Both these versions of organic whey protein are VERY different from the more standardised, mass-produced product (like "MyProtein" for example which I used to buy); even more so if you're coming from a background of a flavoured powder (& I don't mean "vanilla" - because that's still a flavour!).The first thing that struck me was the smoothness (although the Pink Sun (PS) one is a little more coarse than the Organic Protein Company (OPC). Don't be fooled though - this doesn't make these powders any easier to mix - they still clump & stick to the spoon, just like the others. Although having a powered blender or shaker with metal ball makes this job much easier. The second thing that I noticed was the smell. Sure - they all smell of milk which is kind of obvious (not to mention reassuring), but to my nose, the OPC powder was less obviously "milky" & more neutral. Both products were well before their BBE date, but I can't discount that the PS was a little less fresh which is why it smelt more strongly; but this is just a theory!Taste-testing revealed very little, most probably because I normally mix them either with liquid & fruit or oatmeal. Eating some in powder-form on a spoon (purely for the purposes of science), I preferred the German variety (OPC), as it just seemed to taste more natural & feel better in my mouth. It's very possible that others may have a different reaction though.Personally - knowing what I now know about growth hormone, grain versus grass feed & so on, I'll be sticking to organic whey from now on. I also prefer the OPC version from a taste point-of-view but seeing how the nutrition of their product not only isn't as great as it first appeared as well as feeling somewhat misled, there really isn't much to separate the two products.Hopefully this explains the difference in rating between the 2 very similar products.

No after taste
This powder is as it says ‘on the pkt’. I have had two servings so far and there is no after taste and easily digested. I whizzed some raspberries with the first serving and cocoa with the second, both great. I have ordered another pkt.

Bad flavour
This blends up nicely but the flavour is disgusting - sickly sweet - and while just about tolerable after a workout it’s not a good shake to start the day. The Pink Sun unflavoured product is a much better 5* product, whereas this one will be going in the bin.

Does what it says on the ..er..packet (only it doesn't say much on the packet at al).
I have never tried one of these before, so I don't really know what to expect, but it seems fine to me. A few points: 1) It is the most near to tasteless thing I have ever tasted: 2) it needs to be mixed in a blender. 3) One scoop is only 100 calories when mixed with water, so you can flavour it with whatever you want. I added a few drops of vanilla essence, which made it taste of vanilla. My wife was bolder and mixed it with milk and drinking chocolate, which made it around 250 calories and tasted much nicer. Also nicer than the chocolate flavoured protein gloop I bought from the supermarket. It didn't upset my stomach, and it did stop me feeling hungry, although I kept wondering why my tummy felt empty without any hunger. After a few hours my tummy start making "squillurgle" sounds, but I still wasn't hungry.

Good organic protein! No fake Flavours!
I like this protein. No fake Flavours. Buy small bags. It's delicate and not full of additive. So you can have a fresh supply for longer. I have it on cereal rather than drinks or use Greek yogurt and or milk in shakes to give it some substance.Organic , grass fed , hormone free, no additives, no nasty taste that eventually feel like you've been pumping junk food shakes down your neck.Pink sun is often hard to get. Pulsin is just as good. Both much healthier than the non organic Brand’s. And again no headache enducing Flavourings. Your body is worth the investment.
