Bought this last minute as I had a house guest arriving, and I am ever so house-proud, but I only have two bedrooms. The third serves as my art studio, which became my friend's bedroom for the night. It arrived in good time, and was incredibly simple to assemble. It comes in two parts for the base, but you just have to connect both ends. It's quite heavy and robust, and not the usual cheap looking futon you see online.He said it was a joy to sleep on. The mattress is of sturdy quality and turning the bed into a chair is a breeze because the wood locks at the back when you lift it. Very happy with my purchase. Though it might sit in my spare room for eternity until I get some more house guests!

Does the job, however, the bed wouldn't fold into a chair when I bought it as two of the last had been drilled too close together, so I had to take them off and re fit them.As time as worn on the chair is getting increasingly creaky, but as a bed its functional.The mattress is incredibly thin and uncomfortable so you WILL need to bolster it with something extra. Argos sell really comfy single futon mattress so maybe buy one of those as a topper.

When assembling qe dud feel that the chair might not stay in place in the chair position and therefore we added our own removable dowel that could be taken out for bed position. We bought these for grandchildrens occasional overnight stays .
