Perfect
If you have an iPhone and want to record ProRes video externally to color grade it later, this is a must have tool. I use it with a micro Samsung drive, and the whole assembly fits like a glove on the iPhone. I don’t notice any data transfer issues at all. Video recordings using Apple Log copy seamlessly into my tiny Samsung drive and I have never experienced any issues with these transfers. Can’t help but be amazed at the utility of such a small USB-C U-shaped adapter. It goes with me everywhere and I record all of my ProRes video on it. But we aware that it is quite small and easy to loose if you are not careful and knock it out, even when it fits nice and tight in your phone USB-C port.

Perfect Fit...
Works well with my old HD Fire Stick for security camera live view. Clean looking with 14' 4K Panel no cable mess.

Mostly yes. Some no.
Let’s start with the positives: This nifty U-Shaped USB-C adapter can be an excellent problem solver at a reasonable price. I bought it to clear a cable mess hooking up a Thunderbolt 4 dock to my Mac Studio Pro. With this equipment, max transfer times are possible and happy to report the adapter is not a speed bottleneck. Negatives: Just one. In my application, the too prominent 40 GB label is upside down and sure looks dopey. Would have been far better to leave off the unneeded printing for this otherwise elegant adapter. My workaround was black electrical tape.

Perfect fit
Just the right amount of gap to fit over the case of a slim laptop. Has a nice and snug fit both ends, and word for data transfer and power delivery over USB-C or Thunderbolt. I have not verified the transfer speed.

Fits great on M1 16" MBP
These fit 99% of what I wanted. They are solidly in place in the MBP M1 16" and I'm able to plug in a USB-C cable into it. When I have both inserted in the matching opposing ports, it has a bit of a lift to the laptop. :p

Doesn't work
I'm running 2k USB C monitors off an MSI Cubi NUC mini PC with Thunderbolt 4 output and Gen 3.2 USB C cables. It works fine without the adapter, but no power or video with it. The top right monitor is using the adapter successfully for power out of a standard usb 110 wall plug and the same brand adapter for mini HDMI. Be wary if you intend on using it with Thunderbolt 4 I suppose.

The work great on a MacBook Pro
Not so much on m MB Air. The thickness of the MBP is perfect, but the Air is too thin and the adaptor hangs too far behind the laptop.
