The internal design of these sockets seems the same across brands. some genius designer did it once long ago and everyone does the same thing now. But don't be fooled, they may all look the same, but they're not. The differenc is in the safety mechanism that covers the holes and is opened up by inserting the plug. This mechanism actually turns on the socket (it's off without a plug inserted!), so it's the most important element of the assembly, and this is where the difference is.Most other ones do not handle inserting all the different plug types well (especially US plugs), and either require heavy wiggling to insert and/or eventually fail. This one is smooth as butter. Well worth the extra money.
