Easynote A5 Artists Sketch Pad 5132

A5 size it is not easiest for you to draw especially when you are a very newly started beginner. But it is definitely a great size to try small items. I started with a strawberry at first on this A5. As it is only one item, I managed ok. This morning I did a rose sketch based on the rose growing in my garden.. I found it is a bit small for A5. A4 will be more ideal. I think this sketch book is great value and smooth surface for beginners to start with. 170gsm is a good weight of paper to practice. As beginners we always use rubber.... the surface would be damaged if you rub too hard. I myself is a total new starter from May this year. for anyone new, i would say buy this sketch book with both A3 and A4 and get your drawing journey started... Add some groups on social media platforms , learn from others. Watch a lot videos you like and start sketching yourself. Believe you will make progress bit by bit.

I bought this for my cousin sister and she uses it for pastels and sketches. She really likes it. The paper is good quality and very sturdy. It looks like it’s worth the money

Good quality, thick paper and the best price I could find online. However I discovered they sell identical pads in The Factory Shop for only £1 though that might be a short term offer - if so I’ll be back for more here for my granddaughter who has filled 2 in a few weeks!

This is not 'rubbish' as one reviewer claimed. How you find it depends on what you want it for. Sure, it is unsuitable for certain mediums like coloured pencils, for instance, but I find it excellent for pen and ink. It's silky smooth and not harmful to the nibs like more textured paper. The nibs glide over it smoothly and don't start scratching like they do eventually on rougher paper, which when overly rough can kill a nib before the ink runs out. Pencil sketches work on it too, but it's far too smooth for coloured pencils, even the soft ones, so I wouldn't recommend it for colouring projects.

I can't argue with the value for money here - it offered plenty opportunity to sketch in graphite, coloured pencil and even conte pencil. Pen and ink went down well too.I couldn't find whether or not it's acid free - so I won't be using it for any 'serious' work.

The paper is thick, I would say it’s good quality. It is textured on one side so gives grainy effect with sketching, but I found the other side is smoother and better for the castle colour pencils.

Can't put photo because it was given to my granddaughter but seemed a good quality pad. Granddaughter loves it great for sketching. Only downside a bit small,otherwise would have got more stars. But ok.

I hadn't bought this brand before and it is a good paper, tested at the moment for pencils and pastel and the book has more sheets than the average what makes the price very competitive. I will add this brand to my list.
