I wanted an easy to clean slow feeder bowl, and though I love the challenging depth of the big plastic ones and their designs, I loved the idea of ceramic instead, for a cleaner bowl that could go in the dishwasher and not harbor bacteria easily. This one works beautifully because the ridges/baffles in the design are nice and high, making the valleys deep, and that makes my dog have to work her tongue and snout to get in there and extract the food. She eats much more slowly, was inhaling her kibble before this. Now she eats it almost leisurely, and I love that, love knowing she is chewing a bit more. I also love how well it fits in and is cleaned by my dishwasher. I bought this and another design by this maker, so I can alternate which bowl is out for use and which one is in for cleaning. I would buy this one again. Whether it’s a scoop of dry kibble, or smears of almond or peanut butter as treats, she definitely has to take her time with this. Another advantage is the weight of ceramic; I have her things in a tray to lessen the mess, on a silicone mat, and she can’t tip this bowl over in her eagerness or scoot it all over the floor. I didn’t put on the little feet it came with, since I want to use it in the dishwasher, but the silicone mat works nicely with it. Great product. Just wish they were a bit less pricey, but it definitely meets our needs.

Super easy to clean — I just throw it in the dishwasher and it comes out sparkling clean. This is a solid piece of ceramic dishware, so it sits tight and doesn't slide around while the pup is eating. It's also pretty deep (so ideal for a big dog), and allows you to stuff the food between the grooves for an extra challenge. Bought it, loved it.

This is exactly what I was looking for. It’s hard to find a ceramic slow feeder that is also modern looking with clean lines. I wasn’t happy with the durability of plastic slowfeeder bowls. It serves its purpose very well for my large hound dog who inhales her kibbles and looks great in the kitchen too!

After searching for a ceramic slow feeder dog bowl for my dog and being disappointed in a different one, I found this cute, simple one that works just as described! My dog is small (15 or 16 pounds) but a big foodie and can scarf his kibble down very fast without a slow feeder bowl. I purchased a different one but had to return it because the grooves were so deep that my dog struggled to get to the kibble and as a result, would leave his food in the bowl frequently. So I returned the other one and got this. The design and grooves work perfectly to slow down my dogs eating without getting in the way, so that he gets to enjoy his full meal at a nice pace. It’s a really cute, minimalist bowl too and I really like the simple print on the front of it. It’s made of high quality ceramic I like that it also includes these small rubber grip/stickers to place on the bottom of the bowl to allow for it to sit firmly in place on the floor. I’d highly recommend this bowl to any dog owner looking for a high quality ceramic slow feeding bowl that allows for ease of eating while slowing down the pace.

This is a great bowl to slow down those dogs who inhale their food! I bought the white bowl that says 'SLOWLY' in the size medium (1.5 cups). It looked big for my 13 lbs dog but size ended up being perfect to spread his food around. He took to it on the first try, of course--food! It absolutely does slow him down so that he eats at a sensible pace. The bowl came securely packaged. It is well made heavy ceramic and easy to clean around the sloped 'grooves'. I liked that small adhesive dots were included to attach to the bottom to absorb the shock of being set down. I would definitely buy this again and absolutely recommend it.
