Draper52334 Rear Caliper Wind Back Cube, 3/8" Square Drive

Bought this tool to wind back the pistons on a Brembo rear caliper as used on Lotus Exiges (and Elises, of course)....you wouldn't believe that with 5 usable faces with different keying designs, that you'd be left high and dry....but yep, none of them are the correct pitch for the Brembo's. So, 15mins later with a pillar drill, M5 tap and some M5 grub screws, I used the 6th (blank) face to make my own keying pins. So, got it done in the end, albeit with some McGyver'ing. Sorry, "precision engineering".

Used this a couple of times when changing rear discs. Does what it says it does but a lot off effort is required, so not ideal if your weak.

I got fed up listening to my dad moaning about the sky high prices of getting his Audi A6 breaks done, and he said he couldn't do it himself without a special tool. 5 mins on amazon and it was ordered and came two days later and he seams happy enought with it.

I used this on my Audi, a 2004 A6. The patterns on this do not quite match the audi, but after a small mdification with a file I could get it to work OK. It did the job better then a pair of long nose pliers, but certainly only for occasional use. Professionals should definately invest in something better than this.

For one this doesn't fit a Skoda Octavia 56 reg., I had to grind off a couple of the pins so that it fitted. Using it is very difficult. Trying to hold the calliper so it doesn't move, push in and rachet at the same time is tricky. The calliper will just keep rotating forever unless force is applied which i found out the hard way. Took me half an hour each side and ended up with a sore palm from applying the force to the back of the rachet. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Its a clever design. I couldn't use it on my caliper - but that was because the caliper was actually seized. I can imagine it being a challenge in some tight areas unless you have a third hand. K

worked as promised, used for the rear brakes on my jaguar x type and one of theoptions waperfect for winding back the caliper pistons - job done
