Very Easy
I paid £8 for this press including postage. It is neat, simple, well made and very easy to use and clean. In fact it is one of my favourite cheap kitchen gadgets.Take 12 ~ 16 oz of decent mince, add half a VERY finely chopped small onion, 1 crumbled oxo cube, black pepper and a good couple of teaspoons of french mustard and mix the whole lot together thoroughly (a touch of chilli or garlic can be added). Split the mix evenly into 3 and form into a ball. Pop a wax disc into the base and put a ball of mince in and gently press the mix down so it fits the base evenly. Pop a second disc onto the top of the mix and put the top of the press into place. The key is now to gently press down EVENLY to form the burger. I find it better to not use the handle but instead use both thumbs to press around the top to achieve a more controlled and even pressure. Remove the press, invert the base and use a rounded knife to gently prise the burger out onto an open hand or plate. This sounds a bit of a faff, but believe me it's not and the resulting burger is tasty and above all very healthy if dry fried and served in a roll with minimum cheese, sauce and mayo. Also, kids love making and eating this great way to serve mince. Once you get into this it really is very quick and trouble free. I've just ordered my second lot of discs - 250 for £3. What's not to like?

Brilliant - well worth the money.
Having always made my own burgers, and shaped them by hand - middle-aged-spread then started to tell me I was probably making them too big!!So the idea was to make them all a little more consistent, not just for ease of cooking; but also for portion control!!!Unpacked from the box, only needing to screw the handle in to complete it; a quick wash and was ready to use. Simple concept, add in mince/burger mix, squash flat, burger made...…. first practice and much swearing later - too much meat in, awkward to squash, pain to get out. After a few goes, the perfect weight of meat/burger mix to add in is 125-140g. Any less is a bit thin to hold together when you take it out and much more over-fills and it squashes out over the sides. This gives a nice sized patty that holds together well. (I say meat but I have used 100% beef/pork/lamb to identical results, also then making healthier (less meat content variety) with apple, carrot, quorn/vegiemince with excellent results too.)As for getting the patty out easily. Firstly put a waxed paper disc in the bottom, add the meat in a ball in the middle and press out gently with your fingers. Place another paper disc on top and press firmly to make the patty. Loosen around the edge of the press with a silicone spatula and it just tips out easily. We end up making a batch of 30/40 burgers in one go and freezing them in meal-size portions and once you get into a rythmn it works well and really quite quick.A good buy and works well for the way we use it.

It is actually very good.
The build quality is solid as it is made from steel and not cheap, nasty plastic (unlike the stufz burger maker). The handle is solid plastic. Used it yesterday for the very first time. I made nine burgers with 1kg of minced beef (beef, big bunch of chopped coriander finely chopped, 3 large finely chopped green chillies, 1tsp Himalayan pink salt and 1tsp pepper). The beef pattie can sometimes stick to the top and bottom lid but fear not as a quick greasing with margarine to the top and bottom inner side and base of the lids will prevent the meat from sticking. By greasing with margarine, you wont need to use the wax discs. Do not use vegetable oil to grease as it wont work. Overall, good device and highly recommend.

Handy tool. Could use some bigger-sized papers
Such a handy tool, seeing that I love to cook burgers at home but hate it when they break at the ends when shaping the patties. This, however, helps me get the perfect shape every time. What's even better is that you can shape any type of patties with it and it offers the nonstick papers that allows you to separate multiple patties. The reason I'm giving it a 4-star review is because the papers are smaller in diameter than the size of the patties made with this press. I would like them to be at least as big as the press itself. Other than that, I have nothing to complain about.

Looks good, should last.
Now had opportunity to put to the test, and it equals my expectations. Not used this press yet, but it looks fine and expect many years usage. It's well made and the anodized finish is of a good quality. Handle looks reasonably robust. Just need to start making the burgers - but perhaps after Christmas!

For a perfectly shaped thinner quarter pounder.
Great product. Very light. Easy to use. Non stick using waxed parchment in base before pressing. Easy to clean. This burger press will make perfect thinner quarter pounders, not ideal if you like thicker burgers. I’ve tested it out fully with 500g lamb mince and other ingredients to make four burgers. Each burger weighed 153g, bigger than a quarter pounder, just thinner because of the diameter. At least it’s easier to fill the bread rolls now instead of a small burger in a large bun! Good value. Nicely packaged.

Pork and Haggis burgers
Well priced Burger press suitable for homemade burgers, which are so much nicer than shop bought and can be made with any ingredients you like. So for those who don’t like gluten then you will know exactly what you are getting if you make yourself.A little experimenting so far we have made Pork and Apple Burgers very tasty and something very different Pork and Haggis burgers which were a big hit.
