As someone with dyslexia this book was amazing helping me to study in a more affective way. I think it would be a good thing for all lecturers to read this. This would help them to identify people with dyslexia. If lecturers could adapt their teaching with some of these techniques it could help everyone.

A MUST read for dyslexic students!!!!!
Prior to discovering this book, I grappled with my dyslexia's impact on my studies. Confidence was low, and learning hurdles seemed insurmountable. This guide breathed new life into my approach. It provided concrete strategies and a refreshing perspective, diminishing the boundaries that learning differences once imposed. This resource isn't just about tips; it's a catalyst that helped me reframe challenges into opportunities. "Be A Brilliant Dyslexic Student" is a must-read for those seeking confidence, effective strategies, and a broader outlook on navigating academic obstacles.

A guide for life for all students with dyslexia
A really useful and practical book written by someone who certainly knows the strengths and challenges faced by anyone diagnosed with dyslexia. The book is perfectly designed to be easily accessible, enabling students to refine the skills and strategies they will need in an academic environment. Whether you need to manage your time more effectively or learn to read texts quickly and remember key details, this book will help you to succeed and achieve your goals. I have worked with students with dyslexia for over 40 years and wish this little gem had been available for them and I know it will be the best book they ever buy. Highly recommended!

Useful overview
A useful overview of dyslexia with some helpful support strategies. Good to reflect on learner empowerment within the learning process too.

A difficult subject presented in an easy to understand format
What I really liked about this book is that it is not written as a dusty academic tome but is a great guide to dyslexia that anyone can understand and then comes with great explanations and examples, many in tables, diagrams and pictures.I don't have dyslexia but work with many people that do and I found it gave me great ways to help the people I am trying to help without ever feeling patronising.I thoroughly recommend this book as a starter book for those trying to get to grips with this condition.

Really Good Support Tools For A Dyslexic Student
Just before my LL.B(Hons) exams, I suffered a stroke and subsequently I was diagnosed to be dyslexic. Study became very difficult and I sought support from the uni. I was introduced to the methods in this book. Initially I was a little hesitant, and to change existing practices is always difficult. But I persevered and decided to give it a try. As a result although I don't really feel hugely empowered, but I did find that I could make more sense of what I was studying and preparing study notes to support revision. The outcome of this effort being that, I did manage to maintain my pre-stroke marks and get my LL.B(Hons) degree with first class honours. This had seemed impossible after my stroke and some credit must be due to the methods which I had adopted from this book. Therefore I would whole heartedly recommend it to anyone who might be struggling with dyslexia as I was, seeking to achieve what I was capable of, if the field was more level.

Very useful for a dyslexic student and indeed anyone challenged with dyslexia
This is a really useful little book with lots of helpful strategies and tips to enable a dyslexic student - or indeed anyone struggling with dyslexia - to better manage their reading. I only wish it had been around when I struggled at school. Excellent.
