Cartwright & Butler Cherry and Almond Fruit Cake, Presented in a Signature Round Loaf Tin, 600g

A little expensive I suppose, but “ wow “ worth every penny. Tasty, moist, nice and thick texture , packed with fruit.I highly recommend this cake. I like my cake with a bit of cheese, Wensleydale and cranberry especially.I will defo be buying more.

(10 months ‘sell by date’ on this cake) -Cake looks a good buy, inexpensive, good looking cake, well presented - and the tin is fab.I sent this cake to 3 households for the 80th D-Day celebrations on 05/06/2024.. tastes good. Thank youGlacé cherries didn’t stand out very much like on the advert photo but plenty of them.

Tasty but quite expensive for size

This cake was worth every penny, it was moist with a quality taste and delightful texture. A great balance of dry fruit and sponge. It taste as good as it looks. Would I buy it again? Yes most certainly as it the nicest fruit cake I have eaten in several years.

I ordered several of these, one after another, they were very moreish and the first ones I ordered tasted great. But then I noticed a change in the ingredients the quality wasn't as good and the last one taste of alcohol. I have had a liver transplant, I won't go near alcohol, so if something even tastes or smells remotely like alcohol I will avoid it. I have mixed feelings on this product as the quality is a bit hit and miss.

My parents absolutely love this, so much so want it again this Christmas. High quality, high fruit content. Presentation lovely.

I have had Cartwright & Butler produce before and they have been lovely, but this cake NO.Dry, with a burnt taste covered in dull looking sickly cherries and hard candid almonds.I was going to save it for a Christmas treat but thankfully I got a sugar craving and opened it. To my absolute disappointment it was dreadful. I threw it in the bin. I suppose I should have returned it for a refund - wish I had but there it is. A review. A sad, disappointing burnt, dry cake that failed in every way.

Got as a celebration cake for dad. He loves his heavy fruit cake, but we'd assumed impossible to get other than at Christmas. Comes in a lovely tin, packed with fruit and nuts, how there was cake there is a mystery. Soft and moist
