(not using wd40 which gunks up)** A: Hi never use WD40 on electronic equipment it is a lubricant !!! not for cleaning contacts switches or relays, potentiometer ect, WD40 will leave a residu on all your contacts which will have to be removed ! It’s best to spray it directly into the volume control and not down the shaft so you will need to get to the back of the volume control. I have used Servisol in the past but this a lot better.
