Forget olive oil. in 99-2000, I was in Austria & introduced to the pride of Styria (Steiermark). I learned how to recognize the quality of pumpkinseed oil cold pressed after doing a year of research. I became hooked on the lovely nutty flavor of this oil. It truly is a black gold & worth the price when it is pure (not blended with olive oil). A simple tossed salad with an quality vinegar or alone with salt/pepper & you have gormet salad. It also makes ice cream sublime. But my personal favorite is as a dipping sauce with a selection of fresh summer produce, a good cheese or 5 along with a nice baguette sliced. So decadent!! PÖDÖR was a new supplier for me & I was a bit concerned, but this is the real thing. Worth every cent! I'm glad to have found them, as this is a treat worth sharing for summertime meals & refreshing salads.

Delicious, great in salad

My wife had memories of her grandmother from Slovenia always used pumpkin seed oil as a salad dressing so I got this for her as a gift. She said the flavor reminded her exactly of her grandmother’s salads. She loves it.

The taste of the product is supreme !!

Phenomenally rich and authentic taste. I was getting this type of oil directly from Europe until recently, but unfortunately they can no longer ship to the US. I was concerned this wouldn't be authentic, but it is indeed indubitably fantastic! Already halfway done with the first bottle just drizzling onto fresh salads. Second bottle en route. Highly recommended. If you know what this type of oil is supposed to taste like then you can be sure to get that from this product. Deep, dark, rich, aromatic, slightly smoky, and pungent with bitter pumpkin seed. It's not for cooking, for me at least, drizzle to your heart's content or dip. Actually it's hard to dip with this oil, a plunge is usually what happens. Surprisingly, it goes fantastic with butter. So folding in a bit of this pumpkin seed oil into slightly softened butter and then making an herbed butter roll with the pumpkin seed butter is totally stellar :-)

I grew up eating “Kernöl” and ACV on my salads and I love this pumpkin seed oil (PSO). I’ve ordered it several times and it’s always fresh and tastes just like it does in Austria. For the uninitiated, PSO is a staple in parts of Austria. Combined with apple cider vinegar, pour it onto your salad for a different twist on oil and vinegar. Yes, it’s supposed to be dark green. It has a bit of a nutty scent and flavor. As for seed oils, I believe in my heart of hearts this one is good for you. Nowadays I also drizzle it on top of fried eggs or rice and sprinkle with salt.

We are from Austria living in the USA, my son loves kern Öl and this one is a very good quality I am buying it over and over!
