I tried this directly from the jug, but at 30lb pressure, it was too thick, so we emptied the hopper, washed it out and thinned the Homax, we then returned it to the hopper. Worked perfect once thinned to the consistency of pancake batter. I used this hopper that was purchased on Amazon (I received it as a Christmas gift) ...Absolutely love gifts like this! Anyway, it was an inexpensive hopper, like under 40.00, and I highly recommend it as well.

I didn't see where else I could add the pictures to show you the damage of the product when we received it. The product is great. But, one of the container seams was split causing the product to spill within the box.

This is a great product for a single room when you're trying to go from popcorn to anything else. Has the consistency of hot caramel. Goes best over primer, but it doesn't really matter. Just slop some on and then use your favorite technique, such as an orange peel texture roller, to coat the walls. For larger jobs, I would use the powdered stuff and mix it myself for a sprayer/hopper. If you don't like your spreading results, wait a day and try something different - there's really no wrong way to apply the stuff. A second layer will allow for "knockdown" finishes (see Gogle). You can paint directly over it after 48 hours (or less with a fan), but I generally use an antimicrobial primer like Kilz below any final coat.

If you're working on ceiling or small areas, this is a must have. It's much easier and less messy than the spray version. You need to purchase the sponge applicator to get the right pattern to match your wall. Follow the directions for application and you won't be disappointed.
