SOUP BOWL WITH LID AND SPOON (HOT RED)

As the cold, wet weather comes on, its nice to have a hot bowl of soup. The traditional plain white soup bowls in the office get hot in the microwave making them difficult to lift in and out of the microwave and also to carry.Even when full of piping hot soup, straight out of the microwave (or saucepan) the handles on the side of these bowls are cool to the touch and thus the bowl is easy to use. The lid stops splatter if using in a microwave. Although as I have discovered some soups when boiling pop and lift the lid causing some seepage but so far it has just led to a couple of dripped spots at the base of the bowl. Using the open white bowls it would have meant a complete wipe down of the inside of the microwave.The bowls size is just right for a tin of Heinz soup. I also found and probably because of the lid, my soup was more evenly hot than the standard open soup bowl and the contents temperature was noticeably much higher using the same microwave time and power setting.Aesthetically the bowls are nice colors and since I got mine several people have brought one of theses or similar bowls to use in the office. Which leads me to make one comment, with only two colors available and all having the same writing it is difficult to distinguish whose bowl is which when coming out of the dishwasher at the end of the day.This is a good product quite robust (for pottery) and very functional, without looking so. I have ordered six of these to have a set at home and also several to give as Christmas gifts.

I loved the colour but thought the size was a tad on the small size. I bought a few of these for gifts so haven't tried putting a tin of soup into it, maybe it's deceptive but somehow I don't think so. Still, it's always possible to refill it. :)

Smaller than I thought it would be, lid is very loose and spoon is useless but it looks good.

First impressions was that the bowl looked small, however after putting my soup into the bowl, my opinion changed. This bowl is the right portion of soup I needed per meal. Looks beautiful and has a sense of warmth to it. Time will tell if it last long. Will definitely recommend this product.

I love these little soup bowls, they look lovely.Some of reviews say they are too small but they are NOT soup terrines!They are a perfect size for 1 portion and can fit a whole 400g can.And as they come with a lid, can be used in microwave - and not just for soup!I may buy some more....

I am quite disappointed with the quality of the bowls and the spoons, one if the spoon is chipped one of bowls has paint coming off just after one wash! At this high price I expected a decent quality. Denby is available at the same price with high quality standard! Sorry wiuld not recommend this product.

It was a lot smaller than expected, but I guess that's my own fault. It looks lovely, but too small to be practical so it sits on the shelf as deco.

This is a quality item and excellent value for money. It's the perfect size to take the contents of a can of soup. An added bonus is the lid which keeps the soup nice and hot. This is just too nice to put away in a kitchen cupboard so mine is out on display.
