They are round, bounce a little bit and don't split when trodden on.

Good quality. And a much more fun experience with friends who aren't up to the single-yellow dot standard. Frankly, I think everyone who plays for fun should play with this ball; it's just so much more enjoyable that dead-ball squash.

did not come in the packaging advertised. were going to be a present so a little disappointed that they were not as it looks cheap

I feel sure that these squash balls are absolutely fine, but please be aware that they are really 'practic balls' and are actually 'bigger' than standard squash balls.As they are being used for another purpose (turntable suspension) the size is critical.My bad admittedly, this is why I am NOT berating this product.
