RØDE Micro Boompole Ultra-compact Boompole (2.1m)

It’s rode.... as always their products are brilliant, reliable and reasonably priced. This was cheaper here that second hand on an auction site. I have just got into filming and with equipment so expensive I’ve had to made some with what I have. I used this to hold my rode mic Go to use during interviews feels strong and isn’t too heavy. Also it’s 2m long which due to the present circumstances is perfect, don’t need to stand close to people or get up close and personal to attached a mic to the talent, win win

This is a fantastic boom pole when you only need to reach around 2 meters. It is much shorter than the others so be aware you will need to be fairly close to your subject. The largest problem I have had with it is that it was incredibly stiff when i first used it. I had to use some oil to get it lose enough to expand open. As for cables. you only need the particular cable your microphone needs. I suggest a 3meter cable to give enough slack to coil it around the pole. Overall a good buy. I suggest buying the rode shock mount for use with shotgun microphones to attache on the top.

The Rode boom pole is perfect. It works with a number of different Microphone's. I have found for working with Film, Rode's product are always reliable. Its very light yet sturdy. Its grip is comfortable and the two metre length is a breeze to handle. The down side is it does not feature any clips in which to run the extension from mic to camera/desk etc. But, all in all a great product, highly recommended for film makers on a budget. I can't recommend this product enough, it is sturdy reliable, the grip is excellently comfortable and all the parts just work so well and ruggedly, I used this for a feature film and it was an indispensable tool, light and agile to use you can't go wrong.

Very good boom pole, got it with my Rode VIDEOMIC PLUS. No problems, but is slightly difficult to try and adjust length and may take some time. But once it's to the length it works great.

This boompole is very sturdy and of good quality. It is not exactly a mini boompole to me. I have to mention that this is very light fully extended. At the price this is a bargain not to be missed for those aspiring filmmakers. Start with this one and when you are more experienced then buy the full sized one.

I didn't want to pay £80 for the standard Rode boom so I bought this as soon as I saw it, especially since I have just a light mic to hold for my DSLR videos. I haven't used it on set yet but if feels quite solid to be so light. Just a notice: the boom comes with a 5/3 screw and you most likely will need to buy the shock mount as well if you want to use it. It doesn't really make sense buying just the boom.

Can't fault it, it's great quality and the perfect length for interviews and film scenes. The tightening mechanisms settle in over time and are now super smooth. Top quality along with a Rode Shotgun Mic, Dead cat and harness. The price is crazy for the quality and performance.

実物は想像以上に細いので不安でしたが、とにかく軽くて取り回しが楽です。 この短さで現場で使えるのか、とも思いましたが、カメラマン越しのインタビューでも普通に使えました。 たしかにテレビ撮影程度なら、経験上コレより長いものは必要になったことがないし、必要ならプロダクションが持ってるのを予備で持っていけばいいでしょう。 しかしこれ以上の長さが必要になるのは映画とかの撮影でしょうね。 長さ調整のロック機構は、リングを回すのではなくロッド自体をねじる感じです。ひどく音が出ますので収録中は御法度。

Très belle perche de qualité professionnelle. Longueur repliée : 84,4 cm - pleine extension : 203,4 cm. Le système est simple : Il faut "visser" les branches pour qu'elles se bloquent, les "dévisser" pour les libérer, mais il y a un coup à prendre, un juste milieu à trouver (Si vous dévisser à fond, ça se bloque à nouveau), mais ça deviendra de suite instinctif. De toute manière, vous avez des écritures discrètes au bout de chaque branche pour vous aider à la replier ou étendre. La mousse est vraiment très agréable au toucher pour un confort maximal durant toutes ces heures de prises de son. La légèreté de l'ensemble évitera les crampes ou autres fatigues prématurées des bras, ce qui est encore un excellent point. Je l'utilise avec une suspension et un micro Rode NTG-2 (léger lui aussi) et il n'y a vraiment rien de négatif à noter à son sujet. J'aurais aussi aimé que les attaches (pour fixer le câble XLR) soient incluses.

The Rode Micro Boom Pole Telescopic Microphone Extension is a great product with the Rode tag on it. If you have a Rode mic of any sort (I own the Rode Videomic Pro) it makes you looks a little more professional with the matching boom pole with the name twice on the grip. The best part about this product is how sturdy it is when locked into place. It fits perfectly into my mics thread. it shortens up which makes things a lot easier if you are a film student like me that keeps it in my car. If you get this product for short films, movies or any type of production like that where another person is needed to hold the very light pole up. You are not going to find a better boom pole for this price on any website including amazon unless it is used and tarnished in some way. the packaging was its original package and you are saving $100 on this thing. Get a 10' cable extension (I suggest an XLR adapter, way more sturdy and best results) and you are good to go. plug it right into your camera or into a portable recorder for later syncing. I highly recommend this to anyone, in fact a film student had already seen me use this once and has bought one for himself
