Daiwa Fuego Baitcasting Fishing Reel

I am very, very impressed with these reels quality and fishing ability so far being that I paid $75.I lined the 6.3:1 reel with 17 lb hybrid line and placed it on a 6' 6" medium heavy-fast Ugly Stick Elite casting rod. It has more than enough adjustment on the two reel controls and the drag you can fine-tune. I initially used a 3/8 oz. spinnerbait to land five or six bass that gave the reel a nice little workout. It performed very well and could really cast the bait out there even with thicker line on a shorter rod. I am sold on this reel. I will buy another. And I did! (See below) I am impressed because most of my bait-casting reels are in the $150-$350 range, expensive is not always better. Quality has increased on less expensive reels and decreased on more expensive reels the last four or five years in my opinion. One thing to note, is retrieving is a little noisier as opposed to other more expensive reels. I guess the noise is due to the gear materials and/or seals.02/14/2019 Update: I purchased a 8.1:1 over a month ago. I lined it with 10 lb mono on a 7'3" Dobyns Fury medium heavy-fast casting rod. I am using this setup to extremely quickly reel up line slack on weightless and ultralight baits. Gee, does this reel wind it in! Same observations and opinion as the 6.3:1 only faster.Anyhow, excellent reels that casts pretty far, fights bass well, and are smooth.

This reel truly seemed like it was good quality, but after practicing with it a few times I decided to return it and hopefully purchase the lefthanded version of it at a later date.

Got this reel in the 6.3:1 gear ratio for cranking. Nice comfortable soft rubberish paddle handles, smooth reel out of the box! would highly recommend this reel for an affordable aluminum framed reel! I also have the tatula 100hs and the tatula ct 100xs wanted another daiwa for cranking and this is what I chose, this reels seems just as comfortable and almost as smooth as them!

Good reel for the money. I own 3. Solid, light and reliable.

I love this Reel! I have the Aird Daiwa and loved it, and this is right there in quality and better feel.

So I bought this reel to pair with a Daiwa rod and wow I am impressed. I’m not a brand guy, I just love good deals and this one certainly is. Cast smooth, quiet, and pretty far. Easy to operate controls and feels sturdy. If you’ve been on the fence... get it. For the price it is going to be hard to find another aluminum frame reel with good breaks and bearings like this one.

Does not last in salt water fishing

I love this reel, I have two of them. Put them on Daiwa Aird x rods, great combo.This reel is the more economical version of the Tatula reel.

tatulaの下位モデルという位置付けですが、レベルワインドがTWSではないというだけで、性能は十分だと思います。アルミボディ、マグフォースZとこの値段でこの装備だけでも買いだと思います。使ってみても、TWSでなくても飛びますし、ブレーキをちゃんと調整すればバックラッシュも皆無です。自分はノーマルのハンドルノブの形が好きではないので、RCSのIシェイプノブに交換して使ってます。値段が6300円くらいということもあって、これから始めたい方にも良いのではないかと思います。必要にして十分以上の性能を持っていると思います。

注文したリールが今日届いたのですが左ハンドルを注文したのに右ハンドルが送られてきた？まぁ、どちらも使いこなせるからいいかって事にしたんだがなぜこんなミスが起きたのか？

I bought this reel as a gift for a friend, the item arrived with subtle scratches on the frame and deep scratches on the reel. It is now too close to Christmas to return this item and I have an item that looked used to gift. Very disappointed.
