REALLY throws air across a room!
I'd bought this fan after trying my sister's - there was a very hot summer about 3 years ago and she had hers on the go, and it REALLY made a difference. I've had my eye on it since then, and in Feb the price went down to something I could afford at the time. I've tried mine since buying it and it is just as good - it's not silent, there is a slight noise when it's on, but you can easily sleep through it (and I'm a light sleeper). I set it up on the landing and my partner could feel it in his room, across the hall, so we know it's got some blowing power. I can't wait to try it in the summer, and show him the cooling oomph it has too!

Feels like an air conditioner
Had a bit of a hiccup to start with as there was no remote control in the box. However, it has been sent to me three days after messaging the seller, and I am impressed with its curved neatness; it is magnetised and sits on top of the curve. BIG HINT to supplier - I was poised to write an acid review as there was no reply to my messages! Luckily it arrived just in time to prevent this. The fan is very expensive - but it is a sleek, beautifully made design and it is very quiet, except at its top 10 setting. Yet I prefer to run it at 10, as I need to block out traffic noise, and it does the trick. It is almost like having air conditioning... and a lot cheaper to buy and run than that!

I am a fan of this fan!
Best fan I have ever purchased. For nearly three years I could not decide whether or not to invest in this fan. Now I have I am pleased to have done so. When in use the air does not seem to be churned up and overbearing. The wind flow is very subtle even on the highest speed due to the technology in place. It does not cool the room down and should not be confused with an air cooler, but it does help to cool me down comfortably. It is quiet in operation and on the highest setting all you hear is a slight hum. The remote control sits well on the fan rim due to the magnetic contact. I would recommend this.

Smart fan, shame about the light emitted
I bought this fan to aid my sleep, as I have problems regulating my temperature overnight.Compared to a conventional fan:1. It is quieter, but by no means silent. It is a constant level though, and I don't believe it affects my sleep.2. It has 10 levels of speed, and is very adjustable. I use it on the lowest level and this gives me a lovely gentle breeze, which I love overnight and does the job I was hoping a fan would do of helping with my temperature.3. It is much more expensive4. It is very easy to set up. Just a case of aligning 2 units, and twisting to lock. It has indicators of what to do on the units itself.5. It has a remote control, which is simple in its design. It allows the user to turn on/off, oscillate it, change speed, set a timer to stop. Tilting can be achieved manually, but easily. The remote control is small and can be kept on the top of the fan as it magnetically clips on.6. BUT, and here is my gripe! The speed is displayed via emitted bluish light on the base unit. Although, this doesn't seem bright during the day when other lights are on, at 3 o'clock in the morning when my bedroom is otherwise very dark and my pupils are enlarged, it is a beacon! It's not possible to have the fan on, and the light off, so I have now resorted to turning the whole unit off.

Overated
The only reason the price is so high is because of the brand name and the unique look of the product, like some sort of part from an airliner plane. But is it any good? Sort of...What it does better than anything else is how easy it is to clean, the impressive amount of features the remote control has. Like the ability to automatically turn the fan off after a certain length of time, 10 air strength settings and everything from about wind strength 5 and under being almost silent, probably the best feature of the product for you light sleepers out there. So where does the product fail? Well apart from the ridiculous price, in a 30 degrees summer weather it just felt like it was doing less to the air than cheaper supposedly inferior fans. Only consider this fan if you see it on sale, are a light sleeper or just like unusual looking gadgets.

Looks and feels quality
Well of course if you spend more money , you get a better result. I certainly hope that this is the case with Dyson. I loved this fan during the hot spell this year {2018}. I find it great at all times to move the air through my tiny flat. I like that it looks so Star Trecky with it's clean and simple lines. I have it under my table as I do not have a suitable higher space for it. It is set to point upwards a bit and so I do get the full benefit from it. No need to bend down to manage it either as the separate neat remote control takes care of that. Came very well packed too.

I wil never buy a conventional desk fan again
I thougt about buying a Dyson fan when I got m last standard fan but was put off by the price. The old fan only lasted a year or so before t started rattling and going slow then fast so I binned it and bouht a Dyson. I wish Id got it back then. It seriously is the best fan I've everhad sure it's expensive but I never want a conventional an again. the dyson is so quiet ad the constant air flow is so cooling. Also having a remote is just the height of laziness and when it's hot wh wants to be getting up to adjust the fan. Buy this item.

Great quiet fan, expensive but worth it
An expensive fan. But if you live in one of these modern flats that aren’t brick and heat up faster than your oven... then this is the fan for you.Feels like this actually cools the air without intrusively blowing everything. The oscilate mode really cools down a room and when sleeping with this fan in your room on a hot night, it doesn’t dry your mouth out. It’s not silent but is quiet. The remote is a great setting for the modern lazy person too, you can use it to slow or speed up, oscilate or stop. The remote metalically sticks to the fan for when not in use, so won’t be lost down the side of the sofa
