Slimline Cereal Container 4.3ltr

Perfect container for dry cat food. About the size of a regular cornflake packet, so sits on the shelf next to our cereals. Yes it tapers to a slightly narrower base , but i knew that from previous purchases and from the dozens of Amazon reviews describing it....so no excuse to be surprised by that! Seals tightly, pours easily, tough material and all Lock & Lock products last for years - so pay a little more for the authentic brand, not a cheaper copy.

I've been looking for the perfect container to store and pour 5kg of rice. This isn't it. Whilst I love the quality of lock & lock, and have plenty of it, this fails as a rice store because a) it can't fit 5kgs (maybe 4kgs), and there isn't a slightly bigger version, and b) rice grains get stuck around the hole when you pour, travel under the flap hinge, and then get fired out into space when you re-open. My quest for perfect rice storage continues...

Keeps stuff fresh, but if you are using it because of large cereal boxes beware this is tall = height to a 750g box It takes 750g of Frosties or 500g cheerios (bash the contents and shake you can just fit 750g minus one bowlful ie pour a bowl then fill container) or 2 x 500g boxes of ready brek (the stuff statics to the packet so if you don't need ready brek in a container do not bother) Opening small, you have to keep tipping back and forth to get majority of cereals out. Ok if your training kids on portion size, frustrating as an adult. (I have kids so bought 3 of these). Otherwise I would have bought the squarer front flap ones. pros Fits in the dishwasher ok. No plastic smell nor taste like other cereal containers cause. cons What would make this better is a choice of large or small holes to pour from and not so tapered to fit more in. If you are looking for a one hand pour warning its hard to hold and pour with one hand due to width and weight. as most freezers are below -4 I'm not sure of its ability for freezing in it, and its too large for a microwave so them stats on this are pointless. 4 stars - as soon as the kids don't need them they are redundant, frustrating for adult use if contents are bigger than a grain of rice.

I bought this container to store cereal, mainly cornflakes. Unfortunately, although its a great container, shaking the cornflakes out of the hole at the top is useless as they just get stuck in the opening. I have to constantly upright it and tip it down all the time. I am keeping the container but may use it for something else and start looking for a different one for my cereal. I can sat it us typical lock and lock standard. Very strong and well made. I have not tested it to see if it as water tight as they claim as it is intended for dry goods only.

Great product, does what it says on the tin and keeps things fresh with a lid that you can pour from. I keep cereal in these (I have 2 of this size and 2 of the larger ones) and can get 500g of shreddies in there or 500g of Raisin Wheats. Only thing I would mention is that while it does stack on other flip top pots in the range it is not as snug a fit as the other Lock & Lock pots that have standard lids (which dont move when you stack them). But as you get the added flip top lid a slightly looser feel to the stacking is ok for me and a really worthwhile investment to make my kitchen feel so much neater (I hated all those loose cereal packets!)

I was buying 450g boxes of Kellogg's cornflakes as the box fitted onto the shelf and I am not feeding a family. They recently increased the amount to 500g and also the height of the box!! I did plenty of research into finding an airtight box that would fit 500g of cornflakes and there are plenty out there that don't. I was pleased that lock and lock did as I have plenty of this brand in my home. It fits perfectly onto my wall cupboard shelf. I have seen where some have have said that it is not easy to pour cornflakes from the opening. I have not had this problem as tilting the box to the side instead of upside down releases them easily. Very pleased with the sturdiness and dimensions of this product and would recommend.

I bought this large container for my small dog food. It seals well, pours easily, as I would have expected from a lock n lock container. It is marketed as a family size cereal/ storage container, but works just as well for very small dog food biscuits. I was able to fit 2kg of food in one container. 😀 Container is wider and much taller, so suggest measuring your cupboards first. Very happy with purchase have ordered more in other sizes for rice and pasta storage. 🙂

Es estanco. Es de polipropileno. Da muy buena sensación. Lo compré porque quería un recipiente estanco alto. Y este al menos en los primeros uso lo es. La relación calidad precio sólo la dará el tiempo pero la sensación es buena.

Muito bom, para tostas, bolachas ou cereais. Mantém o crispy dos alimentos.excelente

Seit einer Mehlmotten-Invasion vor einigen Jahren habe ich diese Dosen in allen Größen und Formen zuhause. Wirklich toll, absolut dicht, meine Kinder nehmen in kleinen Dosen z.B. Joghurt mit in die Schule. Diese Größe nutze ich für Nudeln (ca.1,5 kg Fusilli passen rein) und Frühstücksflocken.

La réputation de la marque n'est plus à faire. Ce sont des produits réellement étanches grâce au système de fermeture des couvercles. Je l'ai acheté pour y mettre mes restes de potages : je fais les miens pour trois jours. Forcément, la parie verseuse étant trop éloignée du bord du récipient, le liquide coule un peu le long de la boîte. Ce n'est pas un drame, j'essuie avant de mettre au frigo. Je m'en sers beaucoup, et il est quand même pas mal pour conserver ma soupe. Je vais étendre ma collection de ces boîtes de très bonne qualité.

The product is good, and works as promised. It is a bit on the costlier side, but the cheaper ones that I tried weren't as good. So, I am sticking with this.
