Zoom WSU-1 Microphone Universal Windscreen

Apparently it's way too big to fit on the Zoom H1 or H1n. But it's ok. I gave it to my cats, they chase it around the house like a mouse.

works very well with my zoom h5. Much better than the standard one that comes with the product and really helps when recording outside / in the wind.

It just arrived today. It somehow looks funny, but seems to do a pretty good job. I haven't properly tested it in real wind conditions (it's not windy now, I just blew air with my mouth onto it). On zoom H1n you might want to put it over the foam protection, it seems to fit better. I tried it also on zoom h6 and even on tascam x8. In both cases it went directly over the mics, but be sure the string is very very tight, otherwise, the air/wind might leak to the mics from the bottom of it, where the string is. I also tried to fit zoom h6 foam protection inside this furry wsu-1 and then fit it over the (XY or MS) capsule. You might try it and see if it works, but it's a bit of a struggle. You might also mind that when using it, it might loose a string of hair or two here and there. I would't say it's messy, but be aware of that.

Goes over the mic pretty snug, does the job.

I found it a little too large for my zoom h4 and it would be much easier if the cord was replaced with elastic which I intend to do as the flapping cord can create noise.

Me gustó abrirlo desde su empaque nuevo, venía con sus sellos de la marca hasta en la bolsa que lo portaba. Lo seguiré probando, funciona de acuerdo a las especificaciones. Solo es tener cuidado con la empresa que lo entrega ya que hubo demoras, y descuido al traerlo.

I bought this for the H4 Essential which is so new that it did not have an official windscreen. You have to cinch it up a little and if it's pretty well. It's very furry and feels just like my gray cat! It definitely does the job.

this arrived fortunately during a day that was fairly windy, so i got to test it out right away on my Zoom H2n. other than some occasional low end rumble it effectively eliminated all other wind noise. prior to this i had purchased a knockoff windscreen and it wasn't nearly as good, i misplaced it recently and decided to go with the proper Zoom one. just make sure the drawstring is TIGHT as on its own it's not a snug fit (on the Zoom H2n). plus there's the added comedic effect because it looks like a Don King toupée lol.

good quality product. I used it on my H4n and H5 recorders. The result is good.
