Brilliant
Bought this book for our 2.5 year old daughter as she loves the other two in the trilogy and it didn’t disappoint. Magical story and beautiful attention to detail in the pictures. Highly recommend.

Enjoy!
Stunning illustrations. Kids couldn't wait for me to buy the last book of the trilogy. My 5yr old said, "this is so intense!!"

Beautifully illustrated book, encourages imaginative storytelling and for busy parents finding the fun again.
I've had my eye on this series since my 4 year old was a baby but of course she was far too young then they went out if print but thankfully were recently reissued by Walker books unbeknownst to me. When offered the final in the trilogy I leapt at the chance as my daughter has a vivid imagination and enjoys making her own narrative inspired by the illustrations in many different types of books. The premise is a wordless story to engage pre-readers and imaginative storytellers alike opening the story up to either parent or child or indeed a collaborative dialogue between the two. My 4 year old liked the fact she could extract the plot from the illustrations herself and the use of colours and magic- big plus points for her.The artwork is stunning, with a moody dark colour palette throughout until the final confrontation, with use of muddy and gloomier colours building a sense of danger and foreboding.Return, however, I suspect is the weaker in the series as the little girl isn't really the protagonist in this book, she is more a bystander or 'extra', her father is the real lead in this book. Whilst this itself is an important lesson for adults to take time to play with our children, and share their imagination it doesn't have as much for a child to relate to and be inspired by as much as if the little girl was working alongside and with her father. However it does not put me off purchasing the others in the range to inspire my little girls creativity further. Many thanks to Walker Books for the ARC this has not affected my opinion.

Ilustraciones increibles

Incredible illustrations!
My 4 year old loved the other two wordless picture books in this trilogy. This one too has amazing illustrations and the journey to the magical forest, but this time with protagonist's father. Wordless picture books promote imagination in young kids and what better way than to read one from Aaron Becker, one of the best illustrators!
