A Bramble House Christmas: Carrigans of the Circle C, Volume 6

Willa and Scout have been through a lot in the past few years. When one of her patients dies from his disease, she had no idea how her life was going to change. He had given her and Scout the three week Christmas vacation at Bramble House that he booked and paid for them along with a very nice ring and in his will he left her a large amount of money. He was estranged from his family for the past few years because he didn't want them to know he was sick. Finn followed her to Bramble House because they family thought she swindled him out of the money and wanted to get to the bottom of it. Scout doesn't want anyone to know he had been sick so they don't tell anyone. As Finn gets to know Willa, he knows she did not dwindle his dad, but he doesn't tell anyone who he really is. He check I under his publishing name. When it finally comes out who Finn really is Willa feels betrayed. Will she be able to forgive him before they all go back to their own lives?Although I have seen the movie, there are many differences and I actually think k the boom is better. Wish I would have read the book first.

This was a very charming book. I don’t read a lot of contemporary romance, but I am glad I picked this one up. I loved the bit of mystery and the way all the strands of the tapestry of the story were woven together. The setting was really wonderful making it a great read at Christmas-time. (There is some sex in this book, which is not my usual fare, but this was handled in a way discreet way which I appreciated.)

Clearly a good book to read. Brings light to your heart with the response of a mother whose son recovered from a major disease but still moves forward and helps others

The Bramble House is set in Marietta, but there is not a whole lot of the standard elements of Marietta in the story. She nursed a man the last weeks of his life and he left her significant money and a very old green ring with knowledge that it has some history in Marietta. He is a grandson who is incensed that he has left the ring a money to her and thinks she must be come gold digger to get it. She isn’t. They fall in love as she discovers that history of the ring. It is a very good love story.

I had seen this movie before reading this book and still thought it was brilliant.Loved the characters in this it if I remember the film had a picture of the father on the wall but not in this book.Great story loved reading it.

When a patient gives his nurse a ring as a thank you gift, it sets in motion a strange story. After he dies, the nurse receives a gift of fifty thousand dollars, to help with medical bills for her son.

A real feel good book that is well written and crafted. It makes you feel warm and cosy, a little sentimental but what’s wrong with that! Curl up with hot chocolate and enjoy!

Thoroughly enjoyed getting into the stiry of the two families. Will read the next ones as well. Perfect holiday reading.

A Bramble House Christmas is one of those nice little books that are undemanding, easy to read, and pass a pleasant few hours. The story isn't particularly original or overly well developed, the characters aren't particularly deep, and the setting is one of those perfect places that only exist in storybooks. However, I did quite enjoy reading the book as it had a bit of everything: mystery, romance, that Christmassy feeling, and a cute little boy.
