I really appreciate the length of the warmer as it gently heats the whole back and neck area not just shoulders in isolation. The heating goes right the way up and over the shoulders and around the back of the neck. It's VERY warm... I find that setting 3 "gets you warm" then setting 1 "keeps you warm" and I've never used full power. The timer is great as it goes right up to 6 hours in increments. The velcro belt is a.waste of time if you're even a little bit chubby, but it doesn't stop it working especially as I sit down to use it. You need to be about 1m away from a plug socket (or maybe slightly more) but the cord is a decent length.It's been brilliant for my back and neck pain through the chillier months, and saved me having the central heating on too.

Wife has arthritis and it enabled her to be pain free for a few hours ,it feels a bit heavy but works well

This product is like a wearable heated blanket. It is warm and soothing on my back muscles and painful shoulder. I like the fact that it covers a much larger area than a heat pad, and stays in place using Velcro fastenings. It is a little bulky to wear, and mobility is restricted by having to be near a power source. But overall it is a quality product that gives effective pain relief.

This is a really good quality heating pad, almost a wearable electric blanket.Heats up very fast and if you have backache it will help relieve the pain. I found it useful for that. Has 6 temperatures settings and a timer for 1, 2, 4 or 6hrs. I tended to switch it off after 20 -30 minutes as I was well warm enough and when I was using it for back/neck pain the pain had usually eased in that time.However I'm a small person so I found it a little big and a bit bulky which made it a bit irritatingand awkward at times. Still it relieved pain, and provided a lot of warmth so was happy to keep using it.You can also place it around your abdomen to help relieve mentrual pains, or over your knees if they are paining you.If you live alone it might also save money if you can use it to keep warm instead of putting the heating on, as it doesn't cost much to run and will keep you toasty. Of course you have to be near a plug socket when wearing so you'll need to unplug when moving about, but it does stay warm for a while which is great.I like it very much and recommend it, but wish they did a smaller version.

This is a little awkward to wear, obviously you need to be near a plug power source due to the cable.The fabric is soft, the heating parts are across the back, on the neck part and on the part that go over your shoulders.The shoulder pieces have velcro so that you can fasten it round your neck. And there are two fabric loopson either side of your middle - this is where you can thread the velcro strap that comes with it, and fasten it around your middle, keeps the heating pad closer to your back.I think this would be nice for people with back pain for direct heat therapy. It's easier than using a hot water bottle as it covers a larger surface area.Equally you can just use this as a mini heated blanket over your legs etc as it does lie flat.

This is a nice heating pad that does heat up but for me not hot enough. The temperature only goes up to 6, which does make you feel warm but for pain relief for myself needs to be a bit hotter.It's comfortable to wear but I found wearing this sitting down without the belt wrapped around my stomach was more comfortable.The material is 100% polyester but feels more like a velvety material.Overall its a pleasant heat but personally I would have like it a bit more hotter.You can put this on a gently delicate wash at 30c but I'd just give it a slightly damp cloth wipe down.I like this as it does heat up and makes me feel warm, that said I've given this 4 stars, only because I would have preferred it to have been hotter.
