Great for learning
I've bought both Superhero sets and the Star Wars one, and they've been great at helping my son (aged 4) with his reading. The first superhero set is probably the best and most engaging, and he really enjoys the workbooks. We have these out at least a couple of times a week as part of his bedtime routine, and actually bought a set for his school (Reception year).

Perfect first books for my 4 year old
My 4 year old has started reading and is Marvel and DC mad. Bought him these and he loves them. He is able to read them fully with just a little help on the odd word. Good books to get used with speach and grammar. He now sits there reading them to himself. Great first reads for comic book and Lego fans.

Highly reccomend
I can't reccomend these enough. Bought the first set when my 5 year old was learning how to read and now bought these. He's a pretty average reader, not wonderful but his school books don't seem to challenge him much. These enable kids to sound out new words and each book focuses on a particular phonics sound which I love.Definitely would buy these for anyone's child for their birthday.I'd say they are perfect for age 4-7 year olds.Cheap as anything too

This is a perfect book for learning to read
This is a perfect book for learning to read. Each page has a large picture to engage my child and there is just the right amount of text to read so that the little one does not get bored. All stories are very engaging. We used them for bed time reading which brilliantly helped with reading at ease.

Great idea but phonics is misleading
I love the idea of these books and I am sure that they will engage reluctant readers however I feel like the phonics is misleading. Your child would have to be very secure in their phonics to read these. As an EYFS teacher this does not link to the phonics schemes. Children being introduced for the sh digraph for example would not be at a level to be able to read the examples in the book such as should and show. They would be beyond learning the sh digraph if they can read those words. I will still introduce them to my children and I'm sure the more able readers will have a good go but thought it worth making other people aware that they will not link with your phonics teaching.

Great early reading books for superhero fans.
These books have been a great hit in our house. They were so popular we read 6 in one go!The books are clearly written, with good pictures. The fast paced and funny stories make a refreshing change from some of the other phonics books which can have slightly dull stories. They have all the charm you usually get from Lego products. If your child is a superhero fan and is learning to read, these books are for you.
