Weaver Leather Throw Line Storage Bag

Small and durable. It fits 2 spools of throw line plus the weight. Other bag color choices would be a plus!

“WEAVER LEATHER” is the name of the company/manufacture and they’ve been making quality gear for arborists since 1973. The throw line storage bag is designed to hold 150’ of 1/8” polyethylene throw line with a 12, 14, or 16 oz throw weight (all sold separately). The red bag, which is the smallest, is well built and can be clipped to a harness for easy carry or thrown in a pack. There is a steel ring on the outside (as pictured) as well as in the bottom of the storage compartment for tying off your throw line. I use mine for rigging tree work and setups for saddle hunting. Several reviewers of this product that gave it low marks clearly didn’t read the product description or look at the pictures. If they had it would be clear to see that the bag is made of a nylon material and not leather. Additionally the only picture with a throw line and weight in it is for selecting the color and size for the smallest (red) bag. None of the actual product pictures show a throw line or weight. Reading the product description also lets you know your only getting the bag and nothing else.

I was a bit apprehensive when I bought this because it’s so small but I had no problems stuffing cord and weight into it. The cord fed from the bag well. So for me it worked great.

Nice bag for holding/storing throw line & throw weight. Just a little pricey for what you get.

Great little bag. Fit 300 feet of paracord and my throw weight no problem. I just tried launching my setup into a tree and the line lifted straight with no resistance or tangles. The ring on the bottom of the bag is a nice feature and used to clip your line on. The side d-rings are a great option also. I have not tried climbing with the bag on and not sure why I would but if I ever need to the d-rings are great. Really fast shipping. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs to launch a throwline into a tree. Its doesnt have springs to keep it standing on its own but with a bit of line in it the material is sturdy enougb to where it does stand up making flaking line into it easy. If you are thinking about buying this bag buy it. You wont regret it.

There is a tie off ring in the base and outon the side.I bought this bag to use from the ground as well when in tree tops.I have 200ft of line and with this bag have plenty of room for longer lengths and space for a line to fly out. I am very pleased with the cost, size and design of f this bag.

I am just a rookie recreational tree climber. I had been looping/bundling my Throw Line and that was not working well at all. I really didn't want to spend the extra money on something like this but the reality is it works quite well and I am very thankful that I bought it. The bag is plenty roomy for my 150' of line and Throw Weight. I open it, grab the Weight and a bit of line and toss it. The line peels out of the bag snag free. Once I am done with it I simply thread the line back into the bag (somewhat neatly), attach the Weight to one of the side rings, close it up and fold it into a nice small bundle to put in my rope bag.

Plenty big for 200 ft of throw line. Has loop at bottom to attach one end of the line. I throw the line without having to first pull the line from the bag -- just open it fully. I added a small carabiner to the ring on the outside, and attach my line end and throw weight to it, so i don't lose them it he bag. The canvas bag seems heavy duty and has held up well for a few uses.This bag is specifically designed for arborist 1/8" poly throw line. If you are using it for something else, please consider that when writing your review. Arborists will use 100 to 200 ft of 1/8 braided poly line. We do not wrap the line, but lay it loosly and naturally int he bag a little at a time, so it pulls nice and easy when the weight and line are thrown.

Great bag for throw line. Has a metal ring at the bottom of the bag plus on the outside. Easily holds 45m (150’) of throwline. Drwastring is a good idea as it holds the throw line inside without it spilling out.

Bag is a little small but I was surprised, if you take your time packing line into it, the line slides out without a snag.
