NEEDED ACCESSORY
SmallRig nailed it again! This is probably my favorite articulating arm that I have for all of my cameras.I run multi-cam with two different types of camera set-ups (video/event and Cinema) and every camera has their own assigned accessories (8 cameras total, depending on setup). The build quality is solid and it comes with a nice tool built in to help tighten it down and loosen it back up later. Buy with confidence!

Sturdy, flexible arm
Great little arm. It’s a key piece of my music stand setup. I’m using a 16 inch portable monitor with a vesa plate and a few small accessories mounted to the back. This magic arm attaches to the vesa plate then to a long articulating arm. The monitor and accessories weigh 2 to 3 lbs.The magic arm is very solid, gives me lots of easy adjustability for positioning, and is easy to loosen for adjustment and to retighten. The locating pins are key for keeping the monitor from unscrewing through use.The only downside is that the little “wrench” that stores in the handle of the magic arm comes out too easily. The magnet is not strong enough and I expect that I will lose it eventually. No big deal; it’s not needed, but it is convenient to have.

I usually love smallrig gear - and - still do!
Never had a problem with any of their gear. It just works. This one surprised me though. Didn't even get it into field before it broke. Mounted it to FX30 cage, put Ninja 5 on it, tightened it down. Cabled up monitor and set rig down - 5 minutes later my ninja crashed into my lens as the magic arm had failed. Fortunately only minor cosmetic damage to the ninja. Still. Not up to SmallRig standards, hoping it's just a defective unit.Update -- They reached out and sent a replacement arm... Yep it seems it was just a defective item. Still strange for SmallRig, but it happens to every company from time to time. AND more importantly, they made it right. The new unit works brilliantly and I gave it quite a working in this afternoon to try and make it fail - but no issues. So 5 stars despite the shaky start for this particular item. Trust in SmallRig is restored.. and then some.

Excellent durability and articulation for the size, weight, and price.
Functions as described and exceeds expectation in quality.

Small arm with big strength
Can hold a large camera with no issues, the large ball pivot gives it more strength

Careful about the screw sizes
Wish it had different size screws.
