It's fun to use once you get the nack.
I have only just started to use this, so I can't comment on how effective it is yet, but here are my thought s so far.....I am fairly active, but had seen these hula rings on lots of different social media platforms, and wanted to give it a go as they looked like quite good fun.The hula comes partly constructed, and there are extra attachments in the box to make the ring bigger. I personally found it quite difficult to take some of the attachments off, but once you have it to the size you want, you don't really need to worry about it for a while.Once you have the hula to the correct size, it is simply to take on and off. Now, I cannot hula with a regular hula hoop for love nor money, so was a bit doubtful weather I could use this. You start by simply swinging the weighted ball around you, and then you try to keep the momentum going by moving your body. To begin with, I just could not do it, so I watched a YouTube video to see if I could get any tips. The video suggested that by lengthening the rope that holds the weighted ball, it would make the process easier. After lengthening the rope, it did indeed make the whole thing much easier. After just a couple of goes with the rope longer I was able to keep the hula going for a lot longer. As I have just started, I am using the hula for 5 minutes continually, and then going the other way for 5 minutes. You will find your own technique, but I stand with my legs lightly apart and meets, and swing my hips from side to side, and this does the trick for me.After the first 10 minutes of using the hula, I can say that I found it comfortable on my waist, a bit noisy, and made me feel like I had just walked up a flight of stairs, so I didn't feel like I'd had any sort of a workout, but I do walk daily and am fairly fit. I did however enjoy using the weighted hula and will continue to see if it makes any difference to toning my stomach, or losing a bit of weight. I shall keep you posted.

Shorten the rope initially - look forward to a slimmer you!
I received my k-mart hula hoop 2 weeks ago. Initially looking at it I told myself it was going to be fiddly but I spent a good 20 minutes on learning how to clip and unclip the pieces together to male the hoop larger or smaller in circumference. I caught my fingers a couple of times trying to push the plastic pieces into the notches but with persistence I realised there is a knack to it and now I'm able to do it without any problems.Next I found the rope attached to the weight was way to long if you are a newbie as (if like me your core is weak) it's harder to get the momentum going so I shortened the rope. This worked perfectly and I kept practicing in 10 minute slots three times a day.Two weeks on I can do a straight 20 minutes and I absolutely love it. I can watch TV, listen to an audiobook whatever takes your fancy.I have lost an inch around my waist without hours of slogging in the gym.I absolutely would recommend this but would say be patient at the beginning to get used to the equipment then have tins of fun hooping the inches off!Value for money no gym membership needed.

10 day update
The media could not be loaded. 10 DAY FINAL UPDATEUPDATE AT BOTTOMSo throw out everything you know about hula hooping. It's easy to assemble, comfortable to wear. I was quite pleased I think my highest score was 8. I did do for 30 mins but kept stopping & starting. So im a size 24 🇬🇧 & used all the links but I have ordered more. The ring has got to be level which can only happen if I have it high if I have it low it keeps going lop sided so I'm hoping the extra links will place lower on to my hips & I should get a better rhythm. I went on YouTube to watch others for a better rhythm. You definitely need a lot of space around you. I thought I had enough which I didnt so shortened the rope which apparently makes it harder. The bag is already weighted & I would say its heavy. enough. The leaflet recommends 30mins 5 days a week to see benefits. I'm counting my quick swing every 5 count as a win. It isn't quiet but then I wasn't expecting it to be but its not overly loud me punching the punch bag is louder. Nobody downstairs heard it just me cursing at it. Its not going to be a miracle piece of equipment but hopefully it will help alongside every else. I have measured and we will see what happens. So day 2 I've had a wiggle with the hoop to try and get it level which I managed & it's defo a bonus I did fairly easily 10 rotations until it went wonky again. Some ppl say it hurts them but I don't feel anything. At the end of the day if ya have to keep swinginh after every 3 rotation for 30mins I'm sure it can be included in the excerise routine.UpdateSo for 3 days I been stop start swinging until my extension pieces arrived. So I tried with 1 extra & then a second but no joy and then I had a think........ I removed the 2 extensions and a 3rd piece making it smaller instead and as you can see I did good after 22 attempts i done 32 revoloutions. As you can see in the video it is not on my hips its above my belly I know wrong place but it sat level and as you will see I got that ball to swing. It definitely has to be level & tight. Being tight I felt every spring, still didn't hurt & no bruising. Movement - I've seen 2 ways the one I got working is a very small, slow wiggle side to side. The other is slow again with a gentle rocking forward & backwards. Like I said at the very beginning throw out all your hula hooping knowledge you are not doing big hip swivels. It is doing something with my knees I can see and feel a difference in a good way and same for my thighs I'm very happily surprised. Time will tell if having the hoop higher will make a difference. It is definitely something that takes a lot of practice its not like jumping on an exercise bike and go. I hope my review helps and if it does start doing something il be back.SOit's been 10days I'm managing 10mins non stop it is easy once you find your stance and rhythm. I'm finding it's working out my ankles. Calves, knees, thighs front & back, bottom, hips and lower back sorry I don't know all the technical jargon lol the bit your waiting for ........... -3lb & -1inch waist in 10days. It doesn't sound a lot but I've been on diets most of my life & have never got my waist to shrink. I was ill last year and lost all my calf muscles & already I'm seeing a difference & my chunky knees are changing too. I was a skeptic at first & I do try any new gimmick going but have to say out of all the diet pills, patches, magic earrings, bracelets, waist bands etc this is showing it is working. So remember if you get one don't give up with it 😁

Good and effective but broke after a month
This hoop is good and is a good exercise and really easy to use. However, after one month the wheel on the weight broke off which now makes it unusable which is a shame as I was enjoying using it.

Does the job
I wanted to get back into exercise again but not running, I've seen the weighted hula hoops around for a while now and thought I would get one for myself. Easy to put together, some bits have been slightly difficult to get off. Very sturdy, has a slight noise to it, fitted me well

Smooth rolling!
I tried the leann life (however you spell it, the one with a counter on it) and this one blows it out of the water. After trying to make that one work, this was a breeze. It was smooth. A little noisy would be the only complaint, but I will take it for how well it works! Loving it!
