Amazing coffee maker !
I love coffee and all things coffee . This little aluminum coffee maker is light weight as it gets .Wish it was a bit stronger like the aluminum Moka pots …and it makes only 80 ml at the most. But the functionality of this little filter is amazing. It makes a strong concentrate in less than 4 minutes and when paired with hot milk or by itself tastes so unique. The central plate inside the brew chamber is not a screw type but a gravity type. You control the brew strength by controlling the grind size. The inner water spreaderKinda nests on a little latch inside so that coffee is not compressed as it brews. Only caveat is the ultra light weight and I am worried about it getting dented but the coffee it makes is superb and on par with other world class brewers. Get one , slow down a bit and start smelling the coffee ….and enjoy the present moment ….You will be amazed as you start discovering the magic in the moment …

Looks okay but package was already crudely opened
It looks pretty but I have no idea why sending it in packaging that looks like someone's already had a go at it with a box cutter is acceptable. Slight signs of damage like rust(?) on the bottom of the filter that took off some of the gold coloring when I tried scratching it off and other light scratches but it doesn't look obviously used at least. I just don't get why the packaging was sent like this I couldn't even find the missing shard of plastic in the amazon package so it was like this before it was shipped.

Not bad
My first time using a phin. I like the way this looks, though the metal is thin and feels flimsy. I do think it will hold up over time, I tend to have a delicate touch. It gets hot when brewing, be prepared to handle with cloths or gloves.Produces a small amount of coffee, so use what it's intended for: high caffeine Robusto grounds. Mix with sweetened condensed milk and it's a nice treat. I prefer Cafe au lait, equal parts coffee and scalded whole milk in addition to the condensed milk which is delicious. Add a cinnamon stick for taste and to stir.I made some vietnamese egg coffee as well and it was very good, I'm hooked.Again, it's a small serving so I will use it once in a while, but for the price it is worth it.
