Roll out the good omelette times.
What started as a search for an induction hob compatible one egg pan ended up with me learning about what tamagoyaki is.Watched a few videos on how to make a rolled omelette and it turns out that it is not as difficult as it looks.Only personal skill deficit issue is that when I start to roll on this non-stick surface the egg shuffles up and I have to faff about a bit to get the roll back on track - if I could use chopsticks then that would be the tool to use - thinking of getting some hinged/trainer chopsticks to use as micro-tongs in the kitchen. As the instructions say, you cook the omelette a third of the egg mixture at a time - cooks very quickly and evenly - you end up with a rolled omelette with multi thin layers - the texture is beautiful - extremely tasty way to cook an omelette very quickly - no daft trying to turn the omelette with a plate, or finishing under a grill and no burning 'cos you're waiting that bit too long to get the thick mixture set - though obviously no room for chunky veg - I will be experimenting with layering on very thin layers of cheese; spinach; mushroom; tomato - one ingredient per roll layer. This pan works well on my induction hob - just the usual annoying auto switch off when I lift the pan to move the egg mixture around - my hob is settable in increments of 5C, so I can set the exact heat for any cooking with any pan - it may be that induction hobs with fewer power setting levels might not have an ideal setting for this particular pan - e.g. when I owned hobs with only 5 levels, some pans would just not work - one setting too low, the next setting too high.I suppose that I have still not succeeded with my one egg induction pan quest - though it would fry two eggs nice and squarely.

Japanese omelette pan
Bought this pan in lockdown 2020. Not being able to get sushi from the supermarket, we decided to start making our own. I have used the pan to make a traditional Japanese omelette (tomago yaki) using the recipe in 'Sushi' by Emi Kazuko et al. I watched a youtube video to see the technique first hand and had great success with the pan. The rectangular shape and non-stick coating really make it easy to produce an authentic omelette. The kids share it for lunch with a Naked noodle pot and they're learning some basic Japanese phrases for even more authenticity. Highly recommend. Instructions on the pan say not to use it over high heat. I'm handwashing it, not using the dishwasher.

Great item. There's many pans you could buy but considering how cheap this was, I was reluctant to buy this. I've used it many times and it cooks Japanese egg perfectly ^_^

Great for the value. Solid, easy to use
-Solid, not too heavy but also not too light, which is a good thing for tamagoyaki because you will be off the fire quite often, and also tilting the pan. So this pan is right on the sweet point.-The height is good enough. Last week I just purchase a tamagoyaki pan but found it too shallow, which is not enough for making a great thickness tamagoyaki. And this pan has enough deep for tamagoyaki

Decently non-stick and a justifiable purchase for me
A little bit pricey for a small frying pan, but its design is rather fit for purpose, with the curved edge on one side that allows for a thinner omelette when curling/rolling it up.The outside of the pan is scratched from just one use, sadly. Thankfully with good care (and use of proper silicone utensils), the inside of the pan will not scratch that easily and appears to be non-stick.I have successfully made tamagoyaki for 8 lunchboxes this week...And, because I’m annoyingly determined that my purchases will have multiple functions/uses, I have also experimented making mini Swiss rolls using a pancake recipe.I can report that it was a success! This has elevated itself to being more than an overpriced rectangular frying pan :) happy days. I can sleep at night now.

Ibili Products
This pan is also brilliant on Induction Hobs.Only bought it after receiving a small one Egg pan for our induction Hob, that turned out to be perfect.Thought we would see what other products Ibili made. You wont be disappointed, both products and well madeand just the right size.

Check the size, it’s too big for 1-2 egg tamagoyaki
I’ve had 3-4 tamagoyaki pans over the years. I recently switched over to an induction hob and needed a new tamagoyaki pan that is compatible with that as well as dishwasher-safe (no wooden handle). On Amazon I could only find 2 decently looking ones that fit my criteria.I’m disappointed with this one.1. It’s too large to make a good size tamagoyaki with 1-2 eggs. Yes you can make them but it ends up thin and long.2. The metal plate at the bottom that makes this induction compatible is too small. It cooks quicker in the middle and longer elsewhere. Some pan makers used to make single portion size fried egg pan (square) and if you can find them somewhere that would be better bet.

Great!
This Tamagoyaki pan is pretty good one because it easy to handle and easy to clean. Making Tamagoyaki is hard to do in the way if you don't know about it. I often make it as side dish with Sushi and rice bowl dish. I do make really good taste one. Ingredients and sauce are the key. You can see in a picture, it looks as Sushi without rice. And I do use Nori in a between eggs or use it on top of Sushi too. I like this pan and use it at least twice a week.
