While in some cases, it is a bit more challenging to relate to the subject matter, such as in the story of the Civil War "soldiers" or the searing criticism of James Fenimore Cooper (but still worth a chuckle or two), for the most part Twain's stories are timeless and his works will always stand against the great writers of any age.
