Quest Electric Pancake Maker: Weekend Breakfast Hero Machine
I bought the Quest Electric Pancake Maker after two weeks on holiday, during which my children became dangerously accustomed to freshly made pancakes appearing every morning like we were staying at a luxury breakfast palace staffed by cheerful batter wizards. Upon returning home, they seemed genuinely disappointed that our kitchen did not automatically produce pancakes every weekend, so naturally I panicked and bought this. For the price, I honestly was not expecting much. I thought it might be one of those gadgets that works once, goes sticky, and then spends the rest of its life hiding at the back of a cupboard next to the spiralizer of shame. But this thing is awesome. It does the job really well, heats nicely, cooks evenly, and has somehow made me look like a man who understands breakfast engineering. It is also simple to use and easy to clean, which is exactly what you want from anything involving pancake mix and children. The instructions could basically read: plug in, switch to medium or hot, pour batter, cook, accept applause. That is about it. No complicated ritual, no secret chef training, no need to spin the pan while whispering encouragement to the batter. I love using it because it brings us together as a family at the weekend. The children gather round with the excitement of tiny restaurant inspectors, waiting for pancakes as if I have spent years mastering French cuisine. They currently believe I am the greatest breakfast chef in the world, and I see absolutely no reason to ruin that illusion by explaining that 95% of the magic is the machine and the other 5% is remembering the ingredients. One of my daughters has to eat vegan due to an allergy, so for anyone who knows the Olympic-level admin involved in catering for allergies and vegan recipes, here is our simple batter recipe that absolutely rocks. So far, nobody has noticed it is any different, and frankly I would like to keep that quiet before the tiny breakfast critics start asking difficult questions: 300g/12oz self-raising flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tbsp sugar of any kind, 1 tbsp vanilla extract, and 400ml/14fl oz plant-based milk such as oat, almond, or soya. Mix, pour, cook, accept undeserved praise. Would I buy it again? Absolutely. Five stars for being easy, effective, good value, and giving me weekend breakfast celebrity status in my own kitchen. If your children have also returned from holiday expecting fresh pancakes on demand, this little machine may save your reputation, your frying pan, and possibly your sanity.

Impressed
This is a great bit of kitchen kit, not only is it great for making pancakes but great at savoury foods such as omelettes, chicken and smash burgers! Quite versatile and itโs replaced the use of our frying pan for a large number of items

Versatile and Easy-to-Use Pancake Maker for More Than Just Pancakes
Versatile and Easy-to-Use Pancake Maker for More Than Just Pancakes I picked up this Quest pancake maker to help make Sunday mornings a bit more specialโand it hasnโt disappointed. Right out of the box, I was impressed with how lightweight and compact it felt, yet still sturdy. The non-stick surface was exactly what I hoped for, and the included wooden spatula and spreading tool made it feel like a proper crepe station at home. The 12-inch surface heats evenly and cooks quickly, with temperature control that lets me switch between gently heating or full-on sizzling. Iโve made pancakes, crepes, and even omelettes on it so far, and everything slides off effortlessly. The raised edge is a clever touch tooโit really helps prevent the batter from spilling over. After use, cleanup is super easyโjust a quick wipe and itโs ready to store. I love how versatile this is, especially since I can use it for gluten-free roti and chapatis too. Itโs perfect for anyone looking for a low-fuss, high-reward way to enjoy a range of dishes. If youโre limited on hob space or just want a dedicated station for quick meals, this is a great kitchen addition. Love Love LOVE this... where have you been all my life?!
***UPDATE*** two years later and still going strong, use weekly still too! Firstly, I very rarely write reviews. Secondly, HOW AND WHY have I reached nearly 40 years old and only just now bought a pancake plate thing?!?!?! Its amazing i love it. So, I am a mum of three and always cook pancakes (the traditional crepe style or scotch type pancakes, one of the two) as my children love them for breakfast at the weekends. I normally cook my pancakes in a frying pan. Scotch pancakes are very easy no mater where i cook them but crepe type pancakes always give me jip in certain frying pans and seem to take ages and I cant get the heat right and use too much oil. Well, NOT ANYMORE! This is totally game changing. I only looked into a pancake maker because I make them so often (almost everyday) and my electric hob is extremely expensive to work now thanks to the energy price hike so bought this maker just to avoid using the hob. I will never look back, the pancakes are much faster to cook, much easier, the batter spreader is just pure genius, i love everything about it. VERY fast to heat up (unlike the hob/frying pan combo). I use fry light too by the way. Easy to clean (i just wipe the top, never scrub be careful to preserve the non stick coating). I cant recommend this product enough. Have only had a few days so will update if anything goes drastically wrong or it doesnt stand the test of time but right now im in love with a pancake maker. :) ***updateโฆ there is a lovely little recipe section in the instruction manual. Because of this I have now made flat bread for the first time. Kids loved it. We also made chapatis to go with our curry and WOW!!!! this is one of my most fave purchases for a long time x

Great product
This is such a fantastic product. With pancake day coming up i thought I'd buy this as it would be easy to use, and it is. I've made so many pancakes the last few days and with little ease. I use a cooking oil spray, spread the pancake mix ontop wait a few minutes, flip the pancake over and do the same on the other side. It truly is non stick. When im finished I wait for it to cool down and wipe it with a damp sponge and that's it. The only thing I did not like is it comes with a wooden spatula and it splinters and bits of wood came off it, so ive thrown it away and I use my own spatula instead.

Two of these broke down and stopped working
This item is good at what it does but after a few weeks, it stopped working. It seems as though the thermostat had given up. This was quickly resolved by Amazon who replaced the item. The problem is now that the replacement unit has done the same thing and it wonโt heat up. Weโve not had the replacement that long but due to the length of time from the original purchase, there isnโt the option in Amazon to return it again so Iโm not really happy about that. Even though itโs a good device, I have to unfortunately only give it one star as weโve had two now that have broken down in the same manner so I can only assume that this is an inherent fault. I am now left with an item that doesnโt work and there doesnโt appear to be anything that I can do about it. I wouldnโt buy this unit again but would buy a similar item as itโs a good concept. When it works, the temperature is perfect for pancakes and crepes.

After unpacking a checking easy to understand instructions
Received my pancake crepe omelette maker quite quickly, well packaged and all in order. After unpacking a checking easy to understand instructions, my children wanted to test it out so we made a large batch of pancake mix and started to heat up the plate as indicated gave the pan a light spray of oil and waited for the red light to go out indicating the correct temperature to cook, we made different styles and sizes from full 12 inch to 2 inch miniโs we loved them, the whole plate heated and could see that it cooked evenly :) itโs our new favourite gadget at a very reasonable price and well justified for all your pancakes crepes flat breads and yet to try omelettes :) Iโm considering a second purchase to give as a present :) Easy to use worth every penny, easy to maintain and keep clean :) only factor to keep in mind is that itโs best to use on a tray or tile as the base reflects a lot of heat :) great gadget.
