Paint marker

Was hopeful but...
Was excited to try a paint marker that can write on anything wet, dry, oily, any surface. It does not write on any surface, I write on hydraulic cylinders with paint markers so we know what customer it is for, it doesn't write on steel or painted steel easily, to get anything out of it you must force the ball point down to get the paint to come out and it scratches through the paint and gouges into the metal underneath and my boss was not happy about the scratches on his cylinders, tried it for tags and it went poorly, wanted it to work but a normal paint marker is more practical and cheaper
