mediocre man says Yep!
This is perfect for a working drumset. The variety of sounds and modularity is limited, but it's reasonable for the price.Putting the set together is more time-consuming than anything else, so take the time to get everything sorted or it's a lot of retracing one's steps. It's as easy as grabbing the sticks and pushing a button.

Excellent small space/quiet practicing or learning tool
What an absolute insane value for someone wanting a kit to practice or just jam out at home in peace. It has all the features you want without extra stuff. The fun to $ ratio is crazy on this product. Highly recommended

Great for beginners but falls short in a couple of areas
I'll preface this review: I'm a new drummer, but not a new musician. Over the years, I've played many value instruments meant for beginners, and many nicer, higher-quality instruments far surpass beginner equipment. The Donner DED-200X is no exception. This has been an excellent way to see if learning the drums is something I want to do, and it has allowed me to learn the basics. The drums feel good, and there is a wide range of pretty decent-sounding drum kits available. If you set it up correctly, the frame is sturdy, and everything stays in place nicely. There are two areas where they fall short. The first one is something that I think is more of an e-drum issue, or at least an intro-level e-drum issue, and that's flams and faster rudiments don't register like they would on a real drum head. The other area is if you add a double-bass pedal, it definitely doesn't register off-center as well as it does with a single pedal in the middle.Again, overall, it's a great set to learn on, but there will be a point where your skill level starts to outgrow the set.

Great for the money!
Great kit for the money! Ypu get what you pay for, but thats not always bad. This isnt a pro kit, but if you're just needing something toblearn on with minimal noise, this will do the trick. This is a great beginner kit!.

Buyer beware!
Where to begin? I've been a drummer for over 50 years, but I've never used either a rack system or an electronic drums. I assumed this would be akin to my rubber practice pads. Very much not so. The new drum heads are very responsive, even more so than the pickup can handle at times. I have the snare pretty tight for good bounce, but the pickup has trouble with rolls. This snare also has a pickup on the rim so it kind of does rim-shots. Playing stick-on-the-head type quiet rims sounds pretty good. The hi-hat might just be too sensitive, as it sometimes makes random sounds when my foot is holding it down and I'm not striking it. I love the fact that I can plug my MP3 player into the module and pipe that and the drum sounds through the headphones. Donner customer support is lagging at this point. I was hoping for a little quicker response for new setup, but I will probably, eventually figure it out myself. Some of my issues might just be system limitations, like the drum roll issue. Maybe a bad pickup. All-in-all, and especially considering the price, it's a good compromise. It took some time to learn the programming system, like to get the hi-hat to sound right, but they give you several pre-programmed sound styles, as well as one you can customize to your own tastes. As I've not played in about 8 years, it's going to take time to get myself back up-to-speed, but I think this is going to work. There is also a USB port to connect the module to a computer and coordinate with other musicians on-line!Update: Just a word of warning; there is apparently no customer support with Donner. I have sent several emails with questions, none of which have been replied to. Caveat emptor!Update: I did finally receive a response from Donner, but the responder seems not to have much knowledge about drums. I get the impression that they are running out the 30-day return clock.Buyer beware: Donner just advised me that they don't accept my Amazon order number for warranty purposes. They won't even respond to direct questions about the kit that I bought. It looks like my only option is going to be to send it back and go elsewhere.I just received an email from Donner advising that they only offer warranty support for items purchased directly from their web site. So I'm stuck with the partially-defective snare drum unless I want to return the whole kit. Buyer beware!

Solid
Recommended by my church orchestra drummer. My son loves it. Need either headphones or a separate amp. Each pad sounds great, authentic. No tuning heads required!

Nice Kit!
Just got my kit a couple of days ago. This is my first electronic drumkit. I'm an old school acoustic drummer, but I hadn't played acoustic kit in many years. I got tired of being concerned about bothering neighbors when practicing, so I broke down and ordered this kit. This is the only the 2nd electronic kit I've played. At first I couldn't get one of the crash cymbals to work, but now all cymbals work. This kit came with drum sticks, drum pedal, drum key, and a throne. Never seen a kit come with so much. Setup was pretty easy. I'm still figuring out how to fine tune everything from the module, but it feels good to be playing again.
