Ok, we have four cats with four different food bowls on a hardwood floor that have to be separated to prevent squabbling over each other's food. The problem we had was that the bowls would slide quite easily causing a mess when their food (wet) would get pushed over the side of the bowls. We needed something to prevent the bowls from sliding and these pads worked out great!Thus our trying these non-slip coasters. Success, no more sliding of the bowls and no mess on the floor any longer. Very in-expensive way to utilize existing food bowls (can be placed in the dishwasher for cleaning) and no longer having to mop the floor after each feeding.I'm sure that this product would work well for it's intended use and if needed in the future will order again. These are coasters only. They do not add any additional height nor protection when sliding furniture around. I wanted a barrier between some exercise equipment and the floor. This works great when I add my weight to my bike, I feel like I am not pressing the metal into my floor. Your satisfaction will depend on your need.
