I was influenced by those IG videos and these are VILE. Honestly the taste isn’t horrible, but the smell will make you gag. The deal breaker is the consistency, it’s like biting into a wet sponge. And the flavor is impossible to get rid of; not to mention my boyfriend and I got so sick we were both having horrific stomach problems after one bite each, and it’s not the spice, we love spice. Don’t let the videos fool you! 🤢

These snacks are absolutely delicious with the right amount of spice! Though the texture is definitely something, reminds me of sponges/beauty blenders but if they were slightly more sturdy so keep that in mind when buying for the first time. Other than the snack being tasty I'll note that if you don't usually eat spicy food you should keep an eye on how many sticks you eat, I learned my lesson after eating a whole pack in 30 minutes. I was a cold and disgraced king on their toilet throne for 2 hours.... I'm pretty sure I lost half my body weight that day. 10/10 recommend regardless!!

if you’re looking for a good latiao brand DONT START HERE!! Taste was not good whatsoever as well as the smell. It smelled like port a potty pig butt and left my car smelling for days.

This is the second kind of latiao I've had. It has a slightly spicy kick, lots of pepper flakes and sesame seeds, and a good amount of latiao per package. The texture is spongy and soft-- not very firm like the other latiao I had. It's very fun to chew and feel all the oils release with every bite. The smell is not harsh at all and didn't stink up a whole room-- not for me at least. Be careful to not eat too much in one sitting like I did. It has a lot of sodium and gave me an upset stomach. If you can help yourself from having more than two, then this is a decent buy.

I was so excited to try these after seeing so many TikTok’s about it. The reviews had me a bit worried but I was still willing to give it a try. Upon opening, the smell was savory and spicy and it was amazing. I have no idea why people are writing reviews that it was gross? As for the flavor, I fell inlove! I’m ethnically from South Asia and the flavors were close to certain side dishes we eat! The spices also remind me of Sichuan cooking. So if you like Sichuan hot pot and barbecue, then this stuff tastes exactly like that. Again, I have no clue why some of these people are writing disgusting reviews, Perhaps it is because they are used to eating meatloaf and boiled chicken all day and can’t handle anything ethnic and filled with flavor. I am going to buy more

When I first got I already had an idea of what it would taste like.I was super excited to try them because I had seen them on tik Tok and they looked really good.When I received them and tried them they had a weird smell and they had a meat taste to them.Which I had not expected.The taste was awful and tasted like burned plastic.The good thing about it is that the texture is great and what was expected.

They smell horrendous and my daughter said they don’t taste that great either
