It's great, however
Having been someone who has waxed for years (plus tried every other hair removal known to man), I have to say, I'll never wax again!I read a LOT about sugaring and the differences between waxing and sugaring (it's worth doing your research). Everything people say online is true - it hurts less, for the same result and the hair grows back less and thinner. Win win!So this product. It's great, however, I thought it might be useful to give some basic advice/info - because it comes with NOTHING. And the company are German, so what very little is on the box is in German.Personally, I don't heat mine. I bought some little sticks (look like lolly pop sticks - you can see them on the 'people also bought' bit below), and some waxing strips (that's the paper-like material strips you use to help get it off!) - I HIGHLY recommend getting these, especially if you are a first timer. Spread the sugar mix on straight from the pot, in a thin layer, then stick a strip over it (I cut mine to fit the area I'm waxing), press down for a few seconds (not too long or it will start to melt from your body heat!) and then rip off in same direction as hair growth (NOT like waxing, which goes against). It's that simple. You may, or may not need to heat the pot depending on whether you are in a hot climate. I'm in the UK, but because it's winter time I have got the heating on, so I just don't need to heat up the pot, it works perfectly well from the pot.I have used this on my face and bikini line and so far -GREAT! It leaves your skin really soft and exfoliated - unlike waxing it doesn't take off all the skin, only the dead skin, so it's much friendlier. Can be a bit messy to begin with but you will find your way with it in no time! I only used it once and the second time I did my whole bikini line and was thrilled - usually costing me £35 for a wax!!!I highly recommend.

Hair removed easily and surprisingly painless (but I'm used to wax)
I'm new to the sugaring world, I stumbled across it on pinterest. After doing a bit of research I decided to give it a go but I'd rather spend a few quid than try and make it myself personally. Item arrived very quick and I was excited to try it.I've watched youtube tutorials on applying the paste and then just pulling it off but I am not messing around trying to get the nack of that! I bought some wooden spatulas and cloth strips (also from amazon very cheap) as I thought this may make this process easier. I used the paste at room temperature first which hurt applying it so decided to warm it in the microwave for 30 seconds which made it a lot softer and easier to work with. I then stood the pot in a bowl of hot water to keep it from becoming too thick. I applied the paste against the hair growth (upwards) applied a strip pressed it down for a couple of seconds and pulled in the direction of hair growth (downwards) & it worked! Hair removed easily and surprisingly painless (but I'm used to wax). I had to give it a couple of goes to get it right and I did small areas so took a while but I am so pleased with the results. My skin isn't red or bumpy or sore like it usually is and any stickyness just washes off with water. Wish I'd found this sugaring lark years ago!!!! If you're used to waxing and like me fed up of spending £50 every 3 weeks at a salon definitely give this a go. Also talc powder is good to apply before you start you need the area to be completely dry to help removal.

I have been sugaring professionally for 7 years, I bought this instead of my usual sugar paste as I needed it next day delivery. It was delivered with Amazon Prime free delivery on a Sunday which was amazing!I have used several brands of sugar and this one is fairly expensive but does the job pretty well. I would say to those who have given bad reviews, it is not the fault of the sugar, this is a good product it does work if you have the technique, but I'm not sure that you would get results from sugaring if you had not trained and practices for a long time. It took me over a year to feel very confident. I would be very careful on intimate areas if you don't know what you are doing, I would say, with any hair removal, see a professional! So many things can go wrong with technique, it would not be the fault of the product.I would buy this again if I couldn't get my regular brand. It definitely works!

The jury is out
I'm new to sugaring. After several failed attempts at making my own sugar wax, I decided I to buy some ready prepared to understand what the consistency should be like and whether it was worth persevering. It started out badly and I wasted a lot trying to get the manipulation technique right. I was overjoyed when I finally stretched it out (as seen in demonstration videos) and it changed colour, but then it went very sticky very quickly. I rolled it into a ball and set it down to rest, as recommended, but when I came back to it, it had melted everywhere and it was left in a cool room.I'll keep trying, but at this rate I'll have used a whole pot as a test run! Seems like a pricey way to do things to me.

Finally after years I manage to use with flickering technique!!! I been strugge before because my hands are constantly warm, so this time I had a little wax left, and half leg to go. I though to give a go. The first impression was, damm again this mess, so with a knife I spear even more the paste and when I was trying to free the knife, it flicked and all the hair gone!So I carry on and I manage to clean all my leg with a small quantity! The paste change colour while you are using it, it become milky caramel colour. If you struggle there is the technique in YouTube which can help

It's alright...It works but only in areas where the hairs are either long enough or fine enough to be extracted - I attempted to use this on my armpits and it was a disaster!

Beginner solution to waxing
I'm a beginner to sugaring or waxing. Good for top lip, read up on sugaring and it only picks up the thinner hairs but it's not as painful as waxing. Use tweezers on the thicker hairs then use sugaring to remove them when they regrow. I think the hairs will get thinner with time. Put wax in microwave 800w for 30 secs. sugaring while messy is washable.
