Ho acquistato questa piastra Koolehaoda 50mm Quick Release Arca-Swiss circa tre mesi fa per usarla sul mio treppiede e sul gimbal, e devo dire che mi ha davvero sorpreso (in positivo!).La prima cosa che colpisce è la robustezza dei materiali: è realizzata in alluminio aeronautico fresato con una finitura opaca molto curata, niente giochi o parti che sembrano fragili. Pesandola si sente che è una piastra seria, non uno di quei pezzi leggerini che ti fanno dubitare ogni volta che monti la macchina. La tengo montata stabilmente sulla mia reflex full-frame + obiettivo pesante e non ha mai dato segni di cedimento.Il morsetto, poi, è un altro punto di forza: la stretta è incredibilmente affidabile. Una volta che chiudi la leva (con quel “clack” rassicurante), la fotocamera resta letteralmente inchiodata. L’ho provata anche capovolta e con qualche scossone volontario: zero movimenti, zero slittamenti. La compatibilità Arca-Swiss standard è perfetta con tutte le teste e i supporti che possiedo (Manfrotto, Sirui, Feiyu, Zhiyun), quindi non ho dovuto comprare altri adattatori.La lavorazione è precisa, gli angoli smussati evitano di graffiarsi le mani e la vite centrale ha una filettatura solida che non si è mai spanata nonostante l’abbia stretta e svitata centinaia di volte. Costa pochissimo rispetto a marchi blasonati, eppure la qualità costruttiva è paragonabile (se non superiore) a piastre che costano il triplo.Insomma, se cercate una piastra sgancio rapido affidabile, solida come una roccia e che non vi faccia mai pentire di averla comprata, questa Koolehaoda è una scelta azzeccatissima. La consiglio a chiunque voglia risparmiare senza scendere a compromessi sulla sicurezza dell’attrezzatura. Bravi!

This an excellent quick release plate. The tool free attachment of the camera plate is great. I have quick release plates costing more than twice as much from well known brands that do not have this feature. The locking screw mechanism is simple, quick and easy to use. No issues using this with my full frame Nikon Mirrorless camera and lens.

Diese Halterung nebst Schnellwechselplatte ist ein echter Problemlöser. Dank der Gewindebohrungen lässt sich diese Schnellwechsel-Klemme im Arca-Swiss-System problemlos auf Stative mit klassischer 1/4 Zoll Schraube montieren und damit lassen sich alte Stative im Arca-Swiss-System weiter benutzen, ohne dass man sich neue Stative kaufen muss, die dieses System nativ mitbringen. Diese Platte hat mir den Kauf von drei neuen Stativen und damit gut und gern 500 Euro gespart. Die Montage ist simpel, alles erforderliche mitgeliefert und die Klemme hält Foto- und Video-Equipment genauso sicher, wie spezielle und teils durchaus teure Arca-Swiss-Stative, auf denen dieses System fest montiert ist. Die Klemme ist präzise gearbeitet und hält auch Arca-Swiss-Platten anderer Hersteller zuverlässig. Ich bin da rundum zufrieden mit.

I ordered this koolehaoda 50mm Quick Release Plate Clamp Adapter as I needed a simple way to mount my camera to a boom arm on one tripod, like the Arca assembly on my other tripod, and I wanted to be able to access my battery without having to remove the Arca plate. I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ300. It has a fundamental design flaw in that the battery door is too close to the tripod mount. Either screwed on to a traditional tripod or mounted via a quick-release Arca plate, as on my Benro Mefoto Roadtrip tripod, you can’t access the battery or SD card without taking the camera off at its tripod thread. . This Arca assembly seemed to be just what I needed, at a reasonable price. On first inspection, the overall quality significantly exceeds the low price. Everything about it is high quality, from the overall action and fit, to the rubber grip on the tightening knob. While my boom arm has a ¼”-20 thread, it is handy to have that 3/8” thread adapter for possible future accessories. . I first mounted the Arca adapter to my boom arm and confirmed that I can mount my camera safely to the boom arm in just seconds, versus having to precariously twist the whole camera around and around onto the fixed ¼” thread with the risk of dropping it. A scary operation at the best of times! The Arca plate is almost identical in form to that on the Benro tripod and works perfectly on that adapter also, as shown clamped in the attached photo. Unfortunately, the plate still covered the edge of the battery lid, just like the PU50 plate from my Benro tripod. However, lengthening the plain end of the slot allowed me to slide the plate over on the camera’s base by the needed 3 or 4 mm. As it turned out, the koolehaoda screw and its D-ring are slightly smaller than the Benro part and there’s just enough room to extend the slot and still use the D-ring. Not possible on the Benro plate. My battery compartment is now easy to open with the Arca plate installed and the plate will now be a permanent fixture on my camera for rapid mounting to both the Benro tripod and the boom arm tripod adapters. The four rubber pads on the Arca plate stop it from rotating on the camera’s single tripod screw under normal use, but of course, the plate can still slip if you inadvertently try and turn the camera when mounted on a locked tripod head. Did that, but just the once! :-( . At only $12 for the assembly, this koolehaoda 50mm Quick Release Plate Clamp Adapter is superb value. It works perfectly and upgrades any basic tripod for a rapid and solid camera mounting. . If you are looking to upgrade your tripod, or replace an existing Arca assembly, I can highly recommend this one. 😊
