how did i adjust the overflow pipe ? mine is overflowing and i carnt fit a flush master valve [no room}

The overflow is part of the installed system. You don't need your normal overflow pipe - you can throw it away. The overflow works through the plumbing you have just fitted. Try unscrewing the over flow tube supplied - I found that it was too high and had the problem you describe - then adjust the float ball (if necessary) to make sure the level of the water does not reach the height of the opening in the in-built system.

Anybody know how this unit compares to the Torbeck Variflush?

There are no batteries it works by siphon alone.

Is this a complete system? I can't see a ballcock in the image.

No it's not a complete system. IT is only the flush mechanism. You don't need to change the float if it's OK. I fyou have a close-coupled toilet, this requires you to remove the cistern and I recommend you take the opportunity to replace the close coupling kit.
