KONG Air Dog Fetch Stick with Rope Dog Toy, Medium

Size difference between large and medium
September 2017 -Large air dog fetch stick-I have a working labrador, and wanted this for fetch and training. The toy itself is too heavy and hurts your shoulder when throwing. It even hurts my husband's shoulder to throw. My dog drops it often, as it seems uncomfortable to carry, due to weight rather than design. More suitable for GSP and larger dogs.November 2017. I have bought the medium size as the toy itself like all Kong products are good quality, however the size different is surprising, the medium is more like a small. I expect the product will be as good quality as the large.Size classification should be re considered Either call this size a small and the other the large or the large should be called extra large. There should be another size between the two

my dogs new favourite
This replaces another floating toy that didn't float very high in the water and so was hard to find. This is is smaller for my cockerpoo's grasp and she finds it better as she swims. The nylon rope has quickly started to show signs of wear (from teeth) and I hope that it lasts. It does float too, but I can't see how to replace it just now. The toy is also a great dry-land chuck about on the beach etc

Not good for a Springer Spaniel
Kong toy. It's got to be good quality and rugged, so I thought, however, in the paws of a Springer Spaniel nothing is as it seems. Just ask my dog Rio (female) A very timid and intelligent dog. if you don't believe me, have a quick look at the picture and see the damage done this evening. I liked it, but i'm not quite sure what was going through my dogs mind at the time. It makes you wonder how the makers tested it for durability. They should send me their next new product for my dog to test. I don't think it's worth the money, but I think the makers would be interested in My dogs review. Many thanks,Paul and Rio

Shamefully short lived 🙄
My dog loved this toy, having great fun. Unfortunately within 2 days the toy had been chewed away from the rope. I did not leave it with her to chomp, the damage was made whilst playing with it. It is a shame it doesn't last very long. I have attached the rope to another rubbery Kong toy which is fairing better.

Boys & their toys
Had a similar toy before, but he let it go out to sea! That's the problem with floaty toys.I was disappointed that it's covered in tennis ball fabric; not good for his teeth! Also there's a knot at the end of the rope- when I threw it, it nearly tore my hand open. Ouch. So, yes the boy likes it but I don't think it's as good as the previous one.

Not durable enough for rottweilers....
The idea of this is good. My dog kylo absolutely loves his ball on a string and they tend to last for months so ordered this extra large one and waited approx 7 weeks for it to come back in to stock. It finally arrived, I opened it and gave it to kylo who proceeded to shred it on the floor. It was like confetti within 4 minutes of the box opening.

Not Good for chewer
Unfortunately it took less than 20 minutes to be totally destroyed. The pictures show the rope after about 5 minutes after 20 minutes the whole toy was in pieces.I know each dog is different and what one dog can destroy in 20 minutes another can play happily with for years. This is the first Kong toy that I've had trouble with. Just not great for a chewer.

Fun but not very durable
It is or should be a fantastic fetch toy but the durability isn't great. This is the second I've bought because my puppy destroyed the first one in a couple of days. I'm hoping this one will last longer.
