This birdhouse looks nice and it still may be useful, but out of the box it's not very sturdy. This morning we noticed that the bottom of the birdhouse fell off onto the ground. I was going to take it down and bring it inside so I could let it dry out and then glue the bottom back on, but when I did that the top came off also. I'm going to let it dry and then use carpenter's glue to try to reattach the top and bottom. That may work, but if you're looking for a birdhouse there may be better options than this.

The house is very sturdy and when lined will keep the bluebirds protected and warm. HOWEVER- with the door latch attached to the door instead of the outer frame...the door swings open freely. Since I didn't recognize this until hung up and secured...you have to tape it shut until it vacated and able to be removed. A disappointment after taking the time in the cold to get it hung up. Amazing no one has mentioned this to the builder.
