Good pencil
I hate myself for using Amazon so much. It really pains me but this was the only place I could get a 0.3 pencil!! I went to at least five different art shops in my locality and no joy!It hurts me to think that my buying a retractable pencil puts a rich man into space-ish.That said,it’s a good pencil at a good price.

Good product but 0.3mm is too thin
The pencil itself has an amazing build quality as you would expect with Pentel products, however I found that 0.3mm lead snaps way too easily and it has quite a long and fine point on the end on the pencil which isn't so good for pockets. Impressed with the product but 0.3mm is just too sharp and makes notes illegible. I choose 0.3mm upon purchasing because I wanted a sharp pencil compared to conventional ones, but it proved to be too sharp for me. Went for a 0.7mm Faber-Castell instead which gave still relatively sharp but thicker lines with lead that doesn't break, so unless you really need a pencil for fine detail, I'd recommend you to go for thicker lead. I must stress the product itself is good, only let down by the lead thickness.

A good inexpensive pencil.
I needed a second set of pencils for College, one set to hold 2b leads and another to hold B leads, so I needed the pencil sets to look different from each other to save confussion. This pencil comes with one HB lead. It holds it's grip on the lead, with no slippage. The pencil feels nice in the hand. Is well balanced and has a little bit of weight behind it. The eraser under the cap, wears down quickly but can be useful if you haven't got a seperate eraser to hand. The pencil looks good and is solidly made, not like a cheap pencil. To retract the lead after uses, press the cap down and push the lead back in. This makes it pocket friendly. You can also get other size pencils in this range. 0.3mm 0.5mm 0.7mm and 0.9mm. These pencils are value for money.Good for School or College.(My other reviews will say the same about other pencils in this range).

Pentastic
If I click the top of the pencil, lead comes out and I can write! It's so much better than the old style pencil, where one has to insert it into a "sharpener" and twist until wood shavings come out and magically make the end sharp. I decided to get one of these pencils when the traditional pencil I had became too short to fit into the "sharpener" and I "sharpened my finger". My legal case with HB has stalled due to my lawyer's inability to find a pencil company called HB.This pencil will never get shorter. I have "sharpened" it twice now and the wood slivers have not yet been seen, so the pencil should be good for a few years. Since finding the button on top that makes lead come out of the end I have not even needed to use the "sharpener"Awesome what technology can do.

Great pen body
Great pen body, nice eraser in the standard eraser length. For first time buyers be warned 0.3mm is for light hands only, you may only be able to use it at short lengths to avoid breaking it, which means a lot of clicking the tip for more lead.

DDONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
I bought this mechanical pencil for my artwork. I needed something that would give me a nice fine line when I draw so that when I need to erase the lines it would leave no trace on my piece of art. I used it on three occasions only and on the third occasion, the lead would not come down the pencil. I thought it was empty at first but it was still full and it looks like a piece of lead has jammed in the barrel...or so it seems. Anyway I contacted the seller and havd been promised a replacement but to date all i have been sent are packs of refill leads! The pencil was not good quality if it can jam with the original leads in it straight from the seller.I have complained to the seller but they seem to be inept and unable to replace the pencil, despite repeatedly stating they would do so. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. THE PENCIL IS POORLY MADE IN MY OPINION.

Pentel A3 120DX 0.3mm Mechanical Auto Pencil A300
Love it, Love it, Love it, these retractable pencils take me back to my school days when we were not allowed to use pens, also the different degrees of lead thickness has inspired me to want to resume drawing pictures, I bought these type of pencils primarily because I am self studying the Japanese language and I need to be able to write the different symbols that make up the 3 writing styles in Japan so thank you.

Nice mechanical pencil
This is a really nice mechanical pencil. I use it to help draft out my calligraphy. It writes smoothly and erases well. The barrel itself is quite comfortable to hold. The lead and eraser are easy to replace. I would happily buy this mechanical pencil again if this were to ever give out.
